Coop’s current favorite books are Look and Finds. He’s obsessed. I got his this Nemo and Dory one for his Easter basket, but gave it to him early and I think we read it eight times a day.

This kid keeps us smiling.
We are 27 weeks today with baby brother. I can’t believe we’re just a week away from the third trimester. I am definitely way more tired this time around, probably because we have a two year old who isn’t sleeping great right now, but my body feels better than I did with Coop, which surprises me because I’ve been way less active with this pregnancy. I feel slightly less swollen right now. But I know that will probably change in the next few months! We can’t wait to meet you, Baby Dinosaur.
His wild hair! HA! Tiny Fins, where we take swim lessons, has a bunch of different colored changing rooms. Coop’s favorite is this dark blue room. He always picks it. We had to change in the light blue room the other day and he was not happy about it.
His amazing instructor said he is starting to swim for longer periods, which is so cool to see. When we first started these swim lessons, he cried the entire time. It was awful. Now they are his favorite part of the week. I love watching him learn.
We have had so many wonderful people bring food for us and Jake’s family. We have been enjoying delicious leftovers all week and I’m so thankful for that. We had chicken salad sandwiches, mac and cheese, and bbq baked beans Monday night. I threw together a coleslaw salad for us, too. YUM.
We are trying to get Coop back to sleeping in his crib. I had him sleeping with me while Jake was gone, and while I love the snuggles, no one sleeps very well when he’s sleeping sideways between us. He has had two rough nights with very little sleep for anyone. Jake brought him in to me the other morning as he left for work and Coop immediately passed out. Poor kid. I know this is just a season and we’ll figure it out, but we’d really like him to be back in his crib and sleeping well before we’re on a newborn schedule…or lack thereof, ha!
I need to probably tackle naps in his crib, too, but I can only handle one thing at a time right now. He likes to nap in our bed, so that’s what we’re doing for now. He’s just so dang cute and sweet. I can’t handle it.
Jake and I snuck away for a quick date night last night. It was wonderful. We sat at the bar at Brew Co – one of our favorite things – and shared fried mushrooms and the most delicious sweet and spicy chicken either of us had ever had. 10/10 recommend.
Thankful for this man. <3
Jake and I worked on putting together everyone’s pictures of Riley to get to the funeral home for a slideshow. It was so wonderful to see all the pictures of him, but gosh, we miss him. Rilo, we love you. 💚
Happy Wednesday, friends!
