The BEST news + fire + ouch.

I wore my new Dogwood 25k shirt on my run yesterday. I don’t always love race shirts, but this one is awesome. It was super comfortable and I love the colors.

I also stole Jake’s goodr glasses. These have got to be some of my favorite running glasses. I had big cheeks, so I have to get sunglasses that kind of sit far out from my face so my cheeks don’t push them up. Rayban aviators and goodrs are the best ones I’ve found so far!
Guys, this is my favorite playlist right now. It’s not for a super fast run, I listen to rap when I need to run fast, but this playlist was awesome on my run yesterday. I’m on a country kick right now, so this has a lot of my favorite country tunes. Written in the Sand by Old Dominion might just be my favorite song right now.

Yesterday was the best running weather. I wish it was like this ALL winter. It was nice to see the sun shining.
I got 5 miles in yesterday. I didn’t have any soreness from my back-to-back trail races last weekend, so I think I’m completely recovered!
Lunch was amazing. I made a wrap with that blueberry goat cheese and Sriracha turkey I posted about earlier this week. It was delicious. I also had a little salad and some sweet potato bites.
We got a thank you from our friends who just got married. This made me smile! Thanks, Planks! <3
Okay, guys – the best thing EVER happened yesterday. I received approval for my study!!! I can finally start my dissertation. I’m about 2 months behind where I wanted to be, but I’m going to try my best to get caught up. Fingers crossed. The next few months are going to be a crazy amount of work, but this just means I am one step closer to graduation! The journey to Dr. Dorman or Dr. Bradley (depends on when I graduate, HA!) continues!
I love pineapple and had never had this yogurt before. Holy yum.
I had a celebratory glass of wine while I cooked dinner. My shirt wanted me to drink a whole bottle since I ran 5 that morning…I didn’t do that. Maybe next time!
I love putting nutritional yeast on our salads. It kind of tastes like cheese. It’s so good!
Dinner was pesto parmesan chicken, salad, brussels, and leftover risotto. YUM.
Mmmmmm. Everything was really rich, so I got full super fast. But it was yummy!
Then we broke in our new fire pit!
Aspen and the sneak attack smooch. I thought she was just going to pose with me for a picture. I was wrong.
We enjoyed our fire for about 2 hours or so. It was so relaxing. And our new fire pit is awesome! I can’t wait to use it more this winter.
These two were worn out. Aspen never lets her new toy get far from her…
I’m the worst dog mom – Lulu needs a hair cut SO badly. She’s so cute when she’s fluffy! I haven’t been able to make myself schedule her a hair cut. Maybe next week…
This made me laugh. My dang hips are always causing problems! I’m glad I feel like I’m healing up this time around. Fingers crossed.
Morning yoga when it’s cold outside means you get ALL bundled up. It was reallllly hard to get out of bed this morning. But I’m glad I did! I went to a yoga Sculpt class and it kicked my butt. I’m going to be sore tomorrow!
When I was driving home from yoga, I decided I NEEDED french toast for breakfast. It hit the spot! Anyone else get very strong food urges? I’ve always gotten them!
We have kind of a relaxed weekend, which I am pumped about. I know next week will be crazy with Thanksgiving, so I’m looking forward to a little down time. I’m hoping I can start scheduling some interviews for my study for next week – that would be ideal! We have family photos this weekend, so that’ll be fun! Both our families are knocking out their own set of photos on the same day, which ended up working out perfectly for us!
