What. A. Weekend! Anyone else feel like the days are all blurring together right now? I cannot keep track of what day it is to save my life. Friday morning started with some sleeping in and a delicious breakfast.
I got started on some work and felt a little stir crazy, so I loaded these hoodlums up and we went to say hi to my parents and go on a little drive. It was wonderful.
After our outing, I made a smoothie for lunch and hopped on a Zoom meeting with everyone from my building.
My work fam! It was amazing getting to see everyone and catch up a little bit.
After my meeting, I attempted to salvage my manicure. I hand filed the dip powder off. It took FOREVER.
Not too shabby! We will see how long I can keep this up.
I couldn’t remember the last time I washed my hair, so I hopped in the shower before dinner. This craziness happened. Between the rain storm we had and the humidity, my hair went bonkers.
We are still supporting local while we can! We grabbed pizzas from The Pitch and beer and hard seltzer from 4 By 4. Two of our favies!
My friend, Molly, made me laugh REAL hard with this truth bomb. She gets me.
Saturday morning consisted of some more sleeping in and some oatmeal.
After breakfast, I got ready to hop on the treadmill. It stormed most of the morning, so I didn’t want to run outside. I wanted to wear my new tank from Fleet Feet, but I spilled coffee on it seconds after putting it on…whoops.
This girl was extra sleepy and snuggly.
I knocked out 4 miles on the treadmill then did a HIIT legs workout. I was toast after!
This is my current favorite hot sauce. I cannot stop putting it on everything…
Lunch was a bunch of random delicious things – pita bread topped with leftover chicken, tuna, black beans, and cheese. I also had some broccoli bites and a pickle on the side.
Later in the afternoon, Jake and I hopped on our bikes to enjoy the incredible weather. We rode by Kayla and Wade’s house and they were out front, so we stopped and said hello! It was so nice to see them. Something else exciting happened – I knocked out my first ride with my clipless pedals! And I didn’t fall! I was pretty excited. I have been wearing my clipless shoes on the trainer, but had never used them for a ride outside.
After our ride, it was home to order Mexican food and make margaritas.
We chowed down on some deliciousness from La Paloma. I LOVE their veggie quesadilla
Sunday morning was spent on trail in the sunshine. It was incredible. Check out these views!
We climbed out of our cars and were matching. Trail Sisters hats and shirts, black pants, Altra trail shoes, and Goodr sunnies. Ha!
The trails were a little bit muddy…we ran at Busiek, which is always a little sloppy.
After my run, I napped, which was wonderful, then we had a delicious dinner from St. Michael’s. We had veggie lasagna, bread, and salad. It was AMAZING!
Then the best part – banana bread cake! This is the same cake we had for our wedding. It is the BEST. Ever. Thank you, St. Michael’s!! Peep that photo bomber in the back.
Today is Day 1 of SPS at Home – my district’s new online learning stuff – wish is luck!
Happy Monday, friends!
