This is how you know it was a busy day + update on my Grandma + weekend plans!

This poster hangs outside of our library. I think it’s really powerful and shows the benefits of reading. Even if it’s just 20 minutes a day, you are still getting all kinds of great things.
These overnight pumpkin oats have been the best way to welcome in the cooler weather this week. I think we are going to do smoothies next week for breakfast. We haven’t done that in forever and we have been craving them.
This is how you know I had a busy day, I only have pictures of food. I think this chickpea salad has gotten better with each day since it has gotten to sit in the juices. It just has lemon juice and a little bit of olive oil on it.
We went to Galloway for dinner last night. I had the Chicken Caesar Salad with tuna instead of chicken. It was delicious.
We have a potluck at school today, so after dinner we ran by the store and then I baked some cookies. Jake is pacing a friend in a 100-mile run this weekend, so he packed while I baked.
My favorite running weather is officially here. I love being able to wear shorts, a t-shirt or long-sleeved shirt, and a buff. My ears are super sensitive to cold weather and wind, so I will fold a buff over and use it to cover my ears. I like doing this when it isn’t cold enough to use earmuffs. My knee feels normal now, thank goddess, so I knocked out some miles with Lu and Rhea. I’m sure Rhea loves this cooler weather, too.
My Grandma got her biopsy back. She has cancer. They just aren’t sure what kind or how bad it is. They sent it off for some more testing. Please continue to pray for her as she has been in a lot of pain. I will go over there tomorrow to spend some time with her and my family.
I have a race Saturday morning, which I’m really looking forward to. It’ll be my first race after this injury, so I am excited to see how it goes. I have some computer work I need to knock out this weekend, but that’s just about all I have on the schedule and I am pumped. I might switch out my summer and winter clothes, too. I always love doing that. I feel like I get an entirely new wardrobe!
Happy Friday, friends!
