Another snowy day + productive + this is how you recover!

Tuesday morning started with 6 treadmill miles. I did NOT feel like running. My body was sore from sitting all day Monday and working. I knew if I could get through the first two miles, I’d feel a lot better. I watched a little Grey’s while I ran, which helped the time go by. By the time I hit mile 3, I felt a million times better than when I first started.

Breakfast after my run – egg muffins and toast. We are still obsessed with our pour-over coffee. We were trying to cut down on our plastic use during our first round of IVF, so we got the below kettle and glass pour over carafe. These have changed coffee forever for us and I don’t see us going back to using our coffee pot. We both only have one amazing cup, which I never thought I’d be able to say. We used to share an entire pot, sometimes more. If you’ve been looking for a new way make coffee, this is it!

Here’s the kettle. It’s heat up super fast.

And here’s the pour over carafe. Just click on each picture for more information.

I don’t know how she sleeps like this…it hurts my neck.

I knocked out SO much work yesterday. Our campus was closed again, but all of my classes are online, so we continued with them. I was productive while also being pretty lazy. I worked from the couch most of the day, which was cozy. I’m not sure if campus will open at all this week – a lot of my colleagues in AR are without power. We will see how the rest of the week goes! Lunch was another grilled cheese with a salad on the side. Anyone else load up their ketchup with black pepper? It’s one of my favorite things.

I worked again from lunch until dinner. I had this kinda gross looking but delicious dinner again – AirFried Japanese sweet potato, mushroom chicken sausage link, pinto beans, BBQ sauce, hot sauce, and pepper Jack cheese. So. Dang. Delicious.

The best way to recover – Air Relax legs and a skinny margarita.

This is how you know the Air Relax legs are working…they have four different settings and the highest setting squeezes your legs SO hard. I normally only use that high setting after a long run or a race, when my legs really need it. Otherwise, it can be painful. This was from the third setting, which is the one I normally use.

Lu’s favorite time is food time. She eats her own food super fast, then stares at Rhea while she eats. She’s a crazy little food-fueled stalker.

Here’s the treadmill workout I want to try today – it should give me 8 miles. I might switch up the paces one I get started, but we will see how I feel. I did a leg workout yesterday and am SO sore…WU = warm-up; CD = cool down.

Happy Wednesday, friends!
