Weekend Wrap-up: Coop’s birthday week!!! + a big week for our family + Super Bowl fun!

It is Cooper Ray’s birthday week!! I cannot believe my sweet baby will be one year old in three short days. This has been the fastest year of my life! The fastest and the best!

Friday morning, I headed to breakfast with my sister and my mom. I had Piper take pictures with Cooper because it might be the last time pregnant Aunt Piper gets to hold him! my sister is being induced Wednesday morning, so my newest niece will be here this week! She and Cooper could even share a birthday.

My sister is adorable. And I cannot wait to meet my new baby niece!

Saturday morning started with some sleeping in, some working around the house, and then I headed out for a trail run. I did not feel like running at all, and had 90 minutes to knock out, so I was hoping it would go by quickly.

It took me almost 40 minutes to get warmed up and stop feeling like I wanted to stop and walk every step. I hate when I get in running funks like that. The weather was gorgeous, though, so I enjoyed that. I have a road half marathon and a trail marathon coming up in the next few months, so I have got to get my motivation back or those races are going to be miserable.

I ended with a little over seven and a half miles for the day. The second half of my run felt really good, so that made me feel better about the day.

I also got lost and Jake called me out lol… we always share our location with each other through our phones, so he could track where I was running.

I have shared before how talented my dad is in woodworking, but I haven’t shared any of his projects recently. Here is a bookshelf he is currently working on for his office. It is gorgeous. He’s amazing.

Speaking of amazing men, we are getting closer and closer to finishing this spot! Jake has been working his butt off trying to get it finished before Cooper’s birthday party this weekend. We aren’t doing anything crazy, just a family lunch, but we have wanted the spot finished for a while, so it’s good motivation to get it finished before then.

Cooper has spent a lot of time playing in this little chair. I was taking his picture yesterday and caught him pooping. His poop face always cracks me up.

This kid loves the camera. I love his little teeth.

Sunday morning started with a run with my boys. Jake had a three hour run, so he headed out and knocked out part of his, then came back to the house to get me for my hour run. I hope one day Coop wants to run with us.

But for now, he enjoys lounging in his car seat with a good book.

I love our miles together. And I felt a million times better yesterday than I did Sunday, so I was thankful for that!

Family Sunday Runday.

Jake worked a little bit more on our dining room, so Coop and I had a little bike ride before heading to a friend’s house to watch the Super Bowl.

We hadn’t planned on doing much last night because we have so much going on right now, but it was wonderful to see our friends. We hadn’t seen some of them in a long time and I had missed them so much. I failed to get any pictures, but Kayla took this and sent it to me last night.

Coop snoozed through most of the first half. Our shouting only woke him up twice, so I’ll call it a success, ha!

Happy Monday, friends!
