Y’all, this kid is crushing his sleep. He has slept in his crib from 7pm to 6:30ish-am since last Wednesday! Wednesday and Thursday nights were hard. They were his first two nights sleeping on his own, but after those two, he’s been doing so amazing. I’m so so proud of him and can tell he’s sleeping so much better. We are getting in all of the cuddles during the day.

Friday afternoon, we headed to Jurassic Quest with my sister, Eleanor, Ford, and my mom. It was fun, but not something I would do again. it was very dirty/grimy… We used a lot of hand sanitizer, and we all took showers when we left. Ha! Coop had a blast waving at all of the dinosaurs.

Little man got hungry, and then immediately passed out after he nursed, so we sat outside and snuggled for a little bit.

Jake was out of town Friday and Saturday nights because he was pacing his coach in a 100k. Cooper and I grabbed an early dinner with my parents before heading home to go to bed. We had sushi at Niji and it was delicious.

I was pretty nervous about continuing with our sleep training without Jake home. The past two nights had been tough and I was pretty sleep deprived. We read a couple of books, and when I said ‘The End’, Cooper immediately turned around and threw his arms around my neck. He just wanted to snuggle a little bit before he went to bed. I had instant tears. I think it has almost been harder on me not getting to sleep with him every night. I put him in his crib and he went right to sleep!

He ended up sleeping almost 12 hours straight, and I never had to go into his room to soothe him. I was so proud of him! I, however, did not sleep well. I never do when Jake is gone. Buuut, I had a long trail run on the schedule for the day, so Jake’s sister came over to watch Coop for me and I headed to Two Rivers.

Rhea-girl joined me and had the best day.

Rhea’s tush looks like a heart.

I ended with a little over ten miles for the day and it felt so good.

My long run go-to lunch: Jimmy John’s Vito add mayo and hot peppers. So. Good.

Later on Saturday, Coop had a bath, which he pooped in…ha! This kid hate clothes. We basically have to wrestle him to get him dressed.

All the nursing and snuggles during the day right now while we sleep train.

The sun was shining, so we headed out for some Jeepin’. This kid LOVES his Jeep so much.

Sunday morning, Coop woke up around 6:30 after going to bed at 7. He’s doing so great! We crawled into my bed to nurse and look at the window once I got him out of his crib.

Later on Sunday, we headed out for my run. It was sprinkling, so we tried out our new rain gear.

I only got about half my run in, but was thankful I didn’t have any soreness or anything after my trail miles.

Yesterday was my Dad’s birthday, so we celebrated with cake and dinner. Coop and my Dad matched in their plaid.

Happy Birthday, Daddy Waddy! We love you!!

I got some cuddles from this sweet girl.

Jake and I sat down to watch a show last night after Cooper went to bed. We have not done this in probably seven months…if we have wanted to watch a show, we have been doing so on the iPad in bed while Coop sleeps next to us. We will share AirPods. Haha! Not ideal, but it worked!

I have a taper/recovery week this week because I have a race on Sunday. I am getting excited about it!
Happy Monday, friends!
