I battled a terrible headache all day yesterday. I went home right after school and tried to rest to get it to go away – the resting didn’t last long. But I did get the whole house cleaned and our lunches packed for the rest of the week, so I guess that’s a plus! While I was doing that, Jake worked on his bike for his 100-mile ride this weekend. Look how pretty it is! And yes, we keep our foam rollers in a basket with our blankets…priorities! 🙂

We have been working on cleaning out our freezer this week, so I made turkey and veggie wraps (whole grain tortillas from Mama Jean’s, Sriracha, mustard, spinach, onion, jalapenos, banana peppers, and turkey) to go with our leftover Paleo butternut squash soup. The recipe to the soup is linked to the picture under Eats! It’s super flavorful!

I was rushing this morning because I wanted to pick-up donuts for my students since it’s our last day before Spring Break. Jake and I like to drink coffee and eat breakfast together in the mornings before we go to work – it’s kind of our “us” time and we both look forward to it. Well, since I needed to leave early this morning, I had to take my breakfast with me, which really bummed me out. Jake packed it all up for me, even making my toast AND including a sweet note. He’s just the best! And heck yes that’s Sriracha…he knows me so well! Also, I was able to leave in time to grab donuts for my kiddos! Win-win.

I’m helping plan my high school 10 year reunion, which will take place this summer, so I’m really enjoying that! My friend Cassie and I are meeting later today with the hopes of finalizing plans! SCHSers, stay tuned!
Jake and are going to do some carbo-loading this evening to prepare for his ride and my race this weekend – like we need an excuse to enjoy yummy pasta! I think we will go to Bambino’s to chow down.
I told Jake I wanted to cook a yummy breakfast together tomorrow since he’s leaving from work for his race – I was thinking something along the lines of this picture! Mmmm. Bacon. Our pups were upset because they couldn’t be in the kitchen bothering us. Don’t they look SO pitiful?

Happy Thursday, friends!
