I know this doesn’t look all that appetizing, but it was SO good. Leftover salmon/tuna patties & squash for lunch yesterday. Not pictured: 4 tootsie rolls. Whoops! MAP Testing makes me hungry…
We had some leftover Tandoori Chicken, quinoa, & asparagus for dinner. I sautéed the squash this time instead of baking it. I liked it WAY better!
Jake got his birthday present last night!! PADDLE BOARDS! I met the freightliner to load these bad boys into the truck last night while Jake was on a ride. He was SO surprised. He had been trying to guess all week what the present was, & when I told him Tuesday that I would need his truck Thursday, I really threw him off. He never once guessed paddle boards. We cannot wait to use these!
I love paddle boarding & I was so excited about getting our own, that I needed to reminisce about a super fun day we had with Scrandi (Scottie & Brandi) last year. We spent the day on the Finley River. It was perfect!
We had such a blast enjoying the sunshine with these two.
I just love this picture. I can’t wait to get our new boards out on the water!!!
After dinner & our paddle board excitement, we went to Lowe’s to get some stuff for the house, then we met our friend Kayla for a celebratory drink. She passed ALL of her boards & is now a dental hygienist. We could not be more proud of her!!!! What a smarty-pants. I failed to get a picture of her. Eye-roll.
Lu’s favorite spot is on Jake’s pillows. This is her, “Please don’t make me move” look. It doesn’t work – but she sure is cute!
Our running calendar was speaking my language today. I will definitely run for tacos…well, any food, really.
Smoothies for breakfast! Mmmmm. Also, totally loving the sunshine this morning!
We have Panera coffee (my favorite) & homemade cinnamon rolls at school this morning – I didn’t take a cinnamon roll, but I plan on drinking ALL the Panera coffee. Yum yum yum.
I am going to yoga after school today, then we are riding our bikes to meet some of our favies for dinner! Lori reminded me that we all went to dinner last year for Cinco, so now it is a tradition, which I love!
We both have long runs we want to get in on Saturday morning, then we want to spend the day outside enjoying the nice weather. We are also wanting to paint our front door at some point…maybe this weekend or next week. I only have 10.5 days left of school….I can’t believe it! I need to spend next week packing up my classroom. I am finishing & submitting my VERY LAST ASSIGNMENT EVER this morning. WAHOO!
Cheers to the weekend, friends! Happy Cinco de Mayo! Eat all the tacos today! <3
