I spent Tuesday testing students who hadn’t finished their MAP Test. I literally left my room twice all day – it made for a long day, BUT I was able to get a lot of my stuff packed up, which I’m happy about. I probably have about one more day of packing & then I need to bring everything home. Jake’s pretty excited. ; ) It’s hard to know what to pack since I don’t really know what I’m going to be doing in the future…I’m leaving quite a bit behind, but you acquire A LOT in 5 years of teaching. I can’t imagine how this would go if I had been teaching for 20-some years. WOW.

I turned in my LAST EVER assignment last week – as soon as I submitted it, I started second guessing myself. I felt like I had skipped an entire section of the paper requirements, but I was just so over doing homework. I told Jake that as long as I didn’t miss enough points to drop my overall class grade to a C, I was going to accept whatever grade I got. Well, I got an email as I was leaving school that my paper had been graded. I was so nervous. I immediately began to think about how far behind I would be if I failed this class & had to retake it…a lot of self-doubt yesterday! So before I could have a total meltdown, I decided to check my grade. I think my professor was taking it easy on me, but I managed to keep my A! I couldn’t believe it. And with that, I am officially DONEZOOOO with coursework. <3 Now to start my dissertation…

After school, I went to hot yoga. It was MUCH needed & I was definitely a little sore afterwards. Then I went home to vacuum & eat dinner. Leftover Vegan Chickpea Curry. Mmm. Jake was on a training ride, so I ate on my own. I had an appointment at 7, so Jake got home & ate on his own, then we went to Lowe’s together. We are going to spend the evenings & weekend working on some landscaping, so we wanted to get some supplies. We were both pretty worn out – we have had some pretty active weeks & Jake has amped up his training, so we were ready for bed at 8:30. Well, I guess I’m always ready for bed at 8:30.

We decided to have a small glass of whiskey to celebrate my paper being graded.

Aspen needed some serious cuddles. Then it was off to bed for everyone!

When we got up, I couldn’t find Lu. I found her asleep on the rug in our guest bathroom…she’s just a little sleepy baby.

We were meeting a group to run, but we were both feeling a little worn out. I drank some BCAAs, hoping they would give me some energy. I’m loving the new flavor I got – Vanilla Latte.

We met up with Jake’s Dad & two other guys. The 9-mile loop we ran was basically a steady incline the WHOLE time. I was dying. I can tell I pushed it because I have a little bit of a headache & my stomach is upset…but overall, it was a good run & we enjoyed getting to see everyone.

This is how we felt immediately after. DEAD. And so sweaty. I was only mildly angry with Jake for 98% of the run because he was going FAST. ; )

Smooooothies for the win!

And eggs. I made smoothies & Jake was in charge of eggs. I even got a cute little Sriracha heart on mine. <3

These goodies popped up on my Timehop today!!! Holy cow. 10 years?! It’s just crazy. My friend Cassie & I are planning our reunion, which is THIS summer, but I still can’t believe it. My class was pretty small, which I loved. I cannot wait to catch up with everyone in July!

Those glasses were a solid choice. Eye-roll.

I saw this yesterday & couldn’t relate more. 7.5 days, teacher friends. Here’s to lesson plans not working, students being checked out, no AC, & happy hour.

We are doing some landscaping tonight, I think laying rocks around our flower beds. I’d rather take a nap in a hammock, but I guess that can wait. ; )
Cheers to Wednesday, friends! Hope it’s amazing!
