We have some really great friends + a non-run workout for you to try!

One of my friends, who also has a blog (here) tagged me in this picture of her breakfast yesterday – I love that it’s because of SRIRACHA! <3 Yummmmm.

Yesterday was another crazy day at school – had a phone conference during my lunch/plan time, so I felt like I was playing catch up ALL day. But that’s okay! I would rather be busy than bored. Jake was going to do some landscaping after work. His Dad & Scottie were coming over to help, so I went to the store to get some food to cook dinner for everyone as a thank you. I decided on brown rice noodles – which I forgot to take a picture of, but they’re just like spaghetti noodles – zucchini noodles, chicken, Caesar salad, & rolls. I have a Spiralizer (which I am OBSESSED with), but the zucchinis I got were tiny, so I decided to use my little veggie slicer. It seems to work a little better on smaller veggies. I made the brown rice noodles just like you would regular spaghetti noodles, then I cooked the chicken & sautéed the zoodles (zucchini noodles) in olive oil. While all that was cooking, I worked on the sauce. I bought some organic pre-made sauce, but added onion, mushrooms, & leftover zucchini to it. Then I just mixed it all together!

The guys came in to chow down. They had worked up quite an appetite with all their hard work. Thank you, John & Scottie, for helping Jake! You guys rock.

I added Sriracha to mine, of course. This picture is a little blurry, but I definitely had seconds. I was starving yesterday! As we were finishing up dinner, Brandi got back into town & headed over to our house. It was an awesome surprise! The men went back outside to work & Brandi & I got to catch up! <3

We ventured out to check on our fellas around 8:30 & they had just about finished everything. It looks INCREDIBLE.

How amazing does this look?! So impressed. Now to start planting!

Brandi & I decided we needed to pump a little iron while we drank our wine. Best workout ever!

The girls love our new storm door. Well, they love it now that they KNOW it’s there. Someone face planted into it because she thought the front door was open…(cough, cough Aspen). I was dying laughing. She sprinted straight into it. Poor thing. These two are definitely besties.

When I woke up this morning, I just wasn’t feeling a run. All I really wanted to do was relax & drink coffee, but I knew I would be mad at myself if I didn’t do some type of workout. Then I remembered the row machine! I wrote up this workout, drank some coffee, & got started. By the time I finally got around to starting, I knew I wasn’t going to have time to finish the whole thing, but I was going to try to get at least halfway through it. Lu is getting her hair cut this morning (thank goodness, she looks homeless), so I needed to leave early to drop her off.

Picture

I ended up being able to knock out half of it. Rowing kills me! It’s such a good workout, but I’m not all that great at it. This half took me just a little over 30 minutes, so I’m assuming the whole workout would take about an hour. You could take out the rests if you wanted to power through – I did not want to power through anything this morning!

Picture

This is the half I didn’t get to – I’m hoping I can knock it out after school today or tomorrow morning. Kayla & I are going on a bike ride later today, so I’m excited for that! I’m hoping it doesn’t rain…

Picture

My legs were DEAD after those three rowing circuits. Woof.

I dropped Lu off to get her hair cut & then she will go to daycare for the rest of the day. I always get sad when I drop her off…I can’t wait until I get to be home with her & Aspen every day! <3 It was smoothies for breakfast again. Mmm.

This popped up on my Timehop today! I think this was our first Go Girl half? Michelle, correct me if that’s wrong! This pretty girl gets married this summer & I cannot wait to stand by her side on her special day! She’s one of my favies! <3

Picture

Currently obsessed with this song…it makes me feel like I should be on a tropical beach somewhere!

After school I will pick Lu up (YAY!), meet Kayla for a bike ride (YAY!), & then Jake & I have dinner plans with Mitch & Dawn (YAY!). It’s going to be a great day!
Happy Friday Eve, friends!
