First of all, thank you SO much to everyone for your kind words yesterday – they meant a lot! I’m still feeling pretty crummy, but my appetite is starting to come back, so I hope that’s a good sign. I didn’t end up running yesterday, there was no way I could have and it’s not looking promising for today either. Fingers crossed for tomorrow! I got through teaching yesterday morning, then met my friend Cassie for lunch. We shared a sandwich and that seemed to be okay…for a little bit. I rushed home from lunch and was pretty sick again, so I crawled into bed to watch some Netflix. I tried to drink some broth and beet juice, and eat part of this bagel. The broth was fine, but I couldn’t finish the other two. Thank goodness for Netflix!

Jake brought some Gatorade home for me (my hero!) and then we ventured out to grab something for dinner.

We decided on Panera because I thought chicken noodle soup might help settle my stomach.

Mm. I love this stuff. I didn’t used to be a chicken noodle soup fan, but now I love it. Especially when I’m not feeling all that great. I ate most of this!

We decided we wanted to find a cool documentary to watch and just relax a little last night. We started watching Chasing Perfection, which is a documentary series in which Michael Johnson studies different technological tools and how they can be used to improve training practices for elite athletes. So far, it’s pretty interesting! Sorry to whoever that is on the TV…not the best picture!

When you want to cuddle but also want to sit in the reclining part of the couch…ha! Our couch has recliners in the two ends. We hardly sit in them, but it sounded nice last night!

Jake rolled a little while we finished up our show. We keep our rollers right in the living room, that way we see them every day. He is WAY better about using them than I am…

Here is what Jake posted about his Leadville Marathon experience. I wrote about the race series he is doing this summer, called Leadman, and this marathon was the first of a total of 5 races. Check out his insights!

HIs watch died at mile 24, but here is everything up until that point!

Still not feeling all that great this morning, but I was hungry when I woke up, so I had a mini bagel with jelly. So far, so good! : ) I’ll probably do a smoothie for lunch and see how that goes. I REALLY hope today is the last day of this. I want to run! And eat. My two favorite things!

This graphic always makes me laugh. Gotta love balance!

I have some stuff I want to get done around the house today, but I feel a nap calling my name. I feel like if I don’t start being productive right away, I make excuses and don’t always get all my stuff done. I have a phone meeting later about my dissertation proposal and the article I’m co-authoring, so maybe that’ll help me be more productive today.
I hope everyone’s Wednesday is wonderful!
