On Friday I ran around town knocking out errands – I looked like a real dork with my to-do list at the car wash. I also had a delicious smoothie from Tropical Smoothie! Mmmm. Perfect healthy lunch for on the go!

It’s my own personal opinion that you can never have too much Kombucha…Jake will use the Brew Dr. Kombucha in his races.

Jake got home and worked on packing the truck I carried everything out to him, then had a little snack and made us some cold brews for the road!

I posted about a new hat that I LOVE and rabbit, the company, shared my picture on their Instagram story. <3 My travel bag was SO heavy…

The truck was all packed, then we said goodbye to our girls. Which I hated. : ( I miss them so much.

Ready to hit the road!!

We were choosing CDs from my old CD holder from high school and I came across my Relient K collection. I was obsessed with them!

About 2 hours into our drive, we had dinner! We ate the chicken salad I made on Thursday – it was pretty good!

Thanks to our amazing neighbors, Ash and Nick, for our yummy dessert! You guys are the best.

About 3 hours away from our hotel, we started watching The Fate of the Furious – it was SO good!

We got to our hotel in Hays, KS about 12:30. We have stayed at this hotel before and it was just fine, but it was pretty terrible this time. We won’t be back! We were up at 6ish to hit the road. We grabbed some bananas and PB to tide us over (I’m always STARVING when I wake up) then stopped at Sonic about an hour and half later.

All. The. Coffee! And Jake got a new holder for his phone – he loves it!

MOUNTAINS!!! I slept for about an hour and a half after breakfast. I didn’t sleep great at the hotel. I’m a really bad sleeper to begin with, so between that, the kids screaming/running around the hallways and the dogs barking, it was a LONG night. But, seeing the mountains made it better! (So did my nap…)

We stopped to get more coffee (we have a problem), and then headed into Georgetown, CO to grab lunch.

We got some food to go at the Happy Cooker and it was AWESOME. I posted a bottle of Sriracha on my Instagram story – because we brought it with us, of course! And our friend Zach asked me if that was going to be enough, HA! He knows us…and it really might not be enough…

We unloaded at our condo in Frisco, I laid down for another hour (I was SO worn out), and then Jake went out for a ride and I went out for a short run/walk.

I ran 2 miles, then my knees were bothering me from sitting for so long, so I walked back to our condo, which was nice! I saw this on IG the other day and loved it – it’s so true!

After we ran and rode, we went to dinner with Jake’s Dad, John, and Cynthia, his wife. We had SUPER yummy Mexican! We are all staying together and John is also doing Leadman!!

Then it was back to the condo to relax. Jake and I tried a new Colorado beer – it was really good.

I had a 7 mile run in the AM, so Jake helped me make a loop to run. He’s the best.

Does anyone else feel the need to unpack their stuff if they’re staying in a new place for awhile? I just HAD to do this…

Then it was up to run in the AM while Jake rode. It was a chilly morning, which is my all-time favorite running weather. I forgot how hard it is to breathe out here!

It felt so good to stretch my legs and get a good run in – I needed it!

I got 7 in and felt pretty good the whole time!

Then I made a veggie and egg scramble for breakfast. It was just what I needed.

After breakfast, we all headed to Keystone for the Bluegrass and Beer Festival – Jake and I grabbed lunch at a restaurant in the resort because we were pretty hungry. We shared this curry chicken salad and chips. We both put pepper on our ketchup – I think that’s how we knew we were meant to be. Anyone else do this??? If not, try it! SO. Good.

Aaaaand this. Our waiter DID buy our beers for us, so maybe we entertained him? ; )

We walked around the resort a little while the music was going on. I knew if I sat down to listen to it I was going to fall asleep. We found some really pretty views!

Then it was home to snack and take a little nap. We got this Cheez-it Snack Mix because it was Sriacha flavored – it was SUPER good, but really upset my stomach. Maybe because I don’t usually eat stuff like that. That is the view out of our room – it’s gorgeous!

We met Dathan and Daphne for dinner in Breckenridge. We ate at Angel’s Hollow and it was super good! I got the blackened Mahi Mahi tacos with no tortillas. YUM.

After dinner, we walked around and shopped a little, then headed back to the condo. Everyone was pretty worn out. I just couldn’t fall asleep! I finally fell asleep around 4. I got up to run about 6:30. I have a feeling I’m going to need a nap later. I ran 3 miles over to Main Street, where I met Jake, John, and Cynthia for coffee and breakfast. I got this yummy bacon and veggie English muffin. With Sriracha!

Then Jake and I did a little exploring as we walked back to the condo.

It’s a chilly day here today, but it was still a beautiful morning.

Walking around exploring, drinking coffee. Yes, please! We were REALLY reppin’ our Altra gear. <3

Then it was time for an Epsom Salt bath – this kind smells SO good.

I’m going to work a little on an online class I’m teaching this fall and my dissertation edits. It’s supposed to rain later, so I’m not sure what we will do later today. Maybe go back to Breckenridge to shop a little. Feel free to follow me on Instagram – chelseakdorman – to see all of our adventures!
Happy Monday, everyone!
