After our runs Monday morning and grabbing breakfast/exploring in town, I came back to the condo to work. BOO. But, I did manage to get a lot accomplished, so I’ll take it! I worked for about 3 hours. I just need to fix and add references to my three chapters, so at least I’m not having to write pages and pages again.

When I finished my work for the day, Jake and I went to the grocery store. I was pretty excited about being finished with my work for the day!

After we got groceries, we made wraps for lunch! These hit the spot. They had havarti dill cheese, turkey, ham, lettuce, onion, avocado, honey mustard and Sriracha. So good!

After lunch, we ran around to some stores. We got to try out some new camping pads at REI. I think Jake was actually asleep in this picture…

After we ran errands, I decided I NEEDED ice cream. We grabbed our bikes and rode to main street in Frisco so I could get ice cream and Jake could get coffee. Jake finally rode his bike that matches mine! <3

I got espresso chip ice cream, which was the bomb dot com. Jake got his usual – cold brew! But he DID steal almost half my ice cream…

It started raining, so we sat inside the cute little coffee shop until the rain passed. We rode home and Jake worked on cleaning his bike while I got my leg workout in. Even though we are on vacation, I am going to stick to my training plan the best I can! I wasn’t supposed to run today, but that’s okay – I only did 3, and those 3 miles felt really, really good. This is the leg workout I did while watching some Netflix.

After my leg workout, we all started on dinner. Jake and I chopped veggies while John worked on grilling the chicken that Cynthia had marinated. Once the veggies were in the oven, I ran to the store to get some wine. I got this kind because I was missing our girls.

Check out this goodness!! We were all craving a home cooked meal. We LOVE eating out, but it’s nice to cook and relax at the condo. We had chicken, sweet & beets, and salad. It was amazing.

Obviously. I cleaned my plate pretty hardcore…I guess that’s pretty typical for me, though. Oh well! I just love good food!

I forgot how much I love English muffins. I had one with peanut butter and honey before my run this morning. I usually run on an empty stomach, but I was suuuuper hungry when I woke up. I’ll probably have some eggs after my run, too.

Trying to get motivated to do a tempo run…I wasn’t sure if it was going to happen or not because it’s so dang hard to breathe out here when I try to run fast. But I was going to try!

Check out this view! So gorgeous. It was a chilly morning. I think it was 44 when I left the condo. I only wore a t-shirt and shorts, so I was a little nervous I’d be cold, but I knew I’d warm up eventually.

The sun shined for my entire run, which was SO nice. I definitely did not feel great speed-wise, but I was enjoying being outside.

Everything was so pretty! I had to stop and take a few pictures during my warm-up.

I loved all the sailboats in this picture.

Well, my 30 minute tempo did not happen. I think I got maybe 10 minutes in before I had to slow way down because of cramping. My breathing was all over the place, so I figured I’d cramp. Oh well! I got my 7 in, so I’m going to focus on that. I added a widget to my Strava – it’s on my homepage, so you can check out my weekly run activity there if you’re interested!
I’m not sure what our plan is today. I’ll work for a little bit, but I don’t think I have all that much left to do! Jake is out riding right now, so I’m excited to hear how his ride went. We have perfect weather right now! I think it’s going to rain later.
