I used yesterday as a rest day since I hadn’t had one since we got to Colorado – I think it was needed! My legs were pretty sore from our climb Wednesday (post HERE), so it was nice to have some downtime. We moved to a bigger condo yesterday, so I heated up some leftover veggies and added eggs to them for breakfast before we packed all our stuff up! Mmm.

This popped up on my Timehop yesterday…wow. My very first classroom! I taught 5th grade in Hollister my first year. I LOVED that school, my team, and my kiddos so much. It was an amazing first year of teaching. Which I needed after my student teaching was SO terrible. My team at Hollister was so helpful and they went above and beyond to help me and Tim, who was another new teacher. You ladies (Angela, Nancy, and Brandy) were and still are incredible! <3 Miss you all!

After we got all moved into our new condo, Jake and I grabbed lunch on the lake!

I just can’t get over these views! My stomach was really upset and I had a pounding headache, so I thought a beer might help. It kind of did!

I had a burger for lunch and Jake had a brat – they were both pretty good! But what was really delicious was the beer mustard they had. That was AWESOME. And of course I didn’t get a picture of it. Eye-roll.

Jake had some nutrition and shoes shipped to Georgetown for him. His pacer, Dwayne, lives there, so we went by to grab it – he was pretty excited! Skratch and Altra mail day!

Sometimes you have to put your new shoes on RIGHT AWAY. ; ) We both got some Timps…they’re AMAZING. Jake and I will post more about them later today.

Then it was home for me to work (and eat the rest of my cookie) while Jake did a workout on his bike.

While I was grumpy about having to work on vacation (I was feeling really sorry for myself), I did manage to get ahead of schedule! I think I have maybe 3 or 4 more hours of work and I am FINISHED!!! My proposal is due Monday and we will be gone all day Saturday for Jake and John’s 100 mile bike race, and then a lot of us are running in a 10k on Sunday with them, so I HAVE to finish everything today. It’s going to happen! (Sorry for that tangent…I guess I started planning out my day as I was typing! I was going to delete it, but that’s how my brain is, so I’m leaving it.) Anyway, I managed to finish ALL of Chapter 2 and started on Chapter 3!

I moved outside when the sun came out to make myself feel better. : ) It’s been really chilly here, so we are bundled up most of the time.

Jake unpacked all of our stuff while I was working. He’s the best. He even laid all this stuff over by my side of the bed. <3

Also while I was working, Jake and his Dad cooked a feast for all of us! Chicken and veggie fajitas. They were the BOMB. Jake made some amazing guac, too. This hit the spot!!

After dinner, Jake and I decided to walk around and explore a little by our new condo. I was testing out my new Chacos, too!

This picture made me laugh really hard because of my cone head. I hope you get a good laugh out of it, too!

Again, Jake is the best. I woke up to this! I’m finally getting to run some trail today, so Jake showed me a course last night. I’m the WORST with directions, but it’s just an out and back trail, so I figured I’d be fine. He made the whole course on Strava for me anyway. This is the name of the run. <3

I’m super pumped about running some trail this morning! I’m going to do 10-14 miles…I’ll just see how I feel once I’m out there. Then I’m going to grab coffee on Main Street, then it’s home to finish this dang proposal!! The rest of Jake’s family gets into town this afternoon, so I’m excited to see them!
It’s race day tomorrow!!! The guys are going to kill it. They’re so ready and I can’t wait to cheer them on! Follow me on Instagram (chelseakdorman) to follow along with their race! I will post a race recap on here on Monday!
Happy weekend, everyone!!! I hope it’s a great one! : )
Woo hoo! GOOOO Bradleys!!!! You all are going to kill it!
Yall are so stinkin’ cute!! So glad yall adore each other. And good work on the hike yesterday! I hope the local coffee shop was cute – that is my favorite part of travel!
