I am a sucker for getting the girls toys that I know they will destroy in a week. But how cute are these?!

Lu couldn’t take her eyes off her toy and Aspen was so excited she had to close hers. Dysfunction at its finest! Lu held her paw up like that the whole time…

Lunch was the bomb yesterday!!! Two tilapia filets sautéed in lime juice and Primal Palate seafood seasoning, all on top of greens. Plus some Greek yogurt and Sriracha. Mmmm.

I was still hungry after I inhaled the fish and veggies, so I had a granola bar. Totally not Paleo at all, but I just love them.

Look at this sweet face. “Mom, wanna share you granola bar with me?”

I did a little core work after a short leg circuit. I have a love-hate relationship with ab mats…And yes, I watched Scandal while doing core!

Hot tea sounded so good on a rainy day, so I made some dandelion tea and put some oregano oil in it. I had a headache for most of the day yesterday and this seemed to help a little.

Then I sat on the kitchen counter while I iced my ankle and drank my tea, waiting for Jake to get home. We both like sitting in this spot, it’s just comfortable!

We had leftover sweet potato chili and some beets for dinner! Jake LOVED the chili, which I was a little worried about. I put some cinnamon in it and he isn’t a huge cinnamon fan. I filled our bowls WAY too full. Neither of us could finish them. We will have chili again tonight…I made a TON.

Then we went to the store to get new handles for our front door! Eek! We are pumped about the keyless entry!

Check it out!! We still want to paint the white trim around the window, we just haven’t decided what color yet. It looks so good! Jake did the whole thing on his own. <3

I had a popsicle while Jake was working…

Then I crawled into bed to ice my hips and ankle while watching…Scandal! You’re surprised, right? I’m almost all caught up! We both sleep with two pillows, so we never have sheets that 100% match. It drives me crazy. I need to get two more pillow cases for each set of sheets we have.

I got tired of watching Netflix, so I read a little while I finished icing. I’ve been reading this book off and on for almost a year now, which is so embarrassing. I LOVE to read, I just get burnt out after reading research articles all day. I hope to finish it tonight!

These two. Finally passed out after fighting over their new toys all day. Lu will hide one toy, then try and take the one Aspen has. But if both of them are out, Aspen will try to carry both toys around with her, which makes Lu mad. They’re a disaster.

Here’s the door again this morning! I really love it!

I stepped out to run and realized I matched everywhere, ha! Definitely did not do that on purpose.

The sky was gorgeous this morning! I loved starting my run when the sun was already up, it’s nice to switch things up sometimes.

I got 6 in this morning and am VERY ready for a rest day tomorrow. My first two miles felt awful, so I wasn’t sure how the rest of my run would go. I ended up finding my groove and feeling MUCH better about mile 3.

This view will never get old!

Oh my gosh, this was GOOD. I heated up some of that enchilada casserole I made for Jake and topped it with two over-easy eggs. Holy yum. Perfect post-run fuel!

We have a meeting later today to talk about the event we helped with over Labor Day Weekend. I’m going to do more editing and a little laundry, nothing too crazy! I need to get an arm workout in at some point, too. The days are flying by lately!
Hey, it’s Friday Eve!! Cheers!
Went on a 25 mile bike ride after work this evening AND it got a little too cold for me once the sun went down. I guess I need to start biking FASTER so I can get it done before it gets too cold!
Wow, Lindsay! That’s awesome!! Very impressed. And you’re SO right, once the sun goes down, it gets so dang chilly. I’m definitely excited about the colder temps, though!
Have a great weekend!
