At about 9:30 am yesterday, I decided I needed a no-bake cookie…it was delicious.
I did part of this leg workout yesterday. I will finish the bottom half today. I just ran out of time! It’s a good one.
I love when Aspen sits like this, it always cracks me up. I honestly don’t know how that can be comfortable at all. She loves this chair, though, and sits in it every single day.
I had the last of our leftovers for lunch! Ground turkey and zucchini meatball on top of quinoa with brussels sprouts. It’s such a good feeling to finish up some leftovers. Anyone else feel so accomplished when you do this? It’s even better when the portions work out perfectly! It’s the little things in life.
I was in the mood to bake, so I made Monster Cookies. My Mom used to make these all the time for us. She got the recipe from my Grandma, who got it from her Mom, so you know it’s a good one!
Yum. I love my cookies a little chewy, so I always take them out a little earlier than you’re supposed to. But hey, we all know I can’t follow a recipe, so it works out! ; )
Heating pads and hot tea while I work – pretty glamorous life, haha! This heating pad is my favorite. I’ve had it since high school! Life saver.
Then someone got a bath…she was NOT happy with me. I also made the dumb decision to give her a bath in the kitchen sink instead of the bathtub…she’s definitely too big for this. Lesson learned.
Her face cracks me up in this picture. She HATES getting a bath. Obviously. We were both drenched by the end of the kitchen sink bath fiasco…definitely not the smartest thing I did yesterday.
My Dad’s parents, who live in Florida, are in town for a few days, so we went to Galloway for dinner. That makes eating at Galloway two nights in a row for me, ha! I got the Redbird, which is a grilled chicken breast in buffalo sauce. It’s SO good.
Jake had the BLT, which is another delicious option. We go to Galloway a lot, and to be honest, this probably wasn’t the first time I’ve been there twice in a row. When something is good, enjoy it!
When we were at Galloway, we ran into Jake’s step-mom, Cynthia, and his Mom, Penny, and step-dad, Jeff! It was so funny. You will always see someone you know there!
After dinner, everyone came back to our house for drinks and dessert. My Mom hadn’t been able to come to dinner, but she met up with all of us at our house. It was a fun night! We love having our families so close.
My Dad is Lulu’s favorite person. She wants his attention 24/7. Whenever she goes to their house, she finds his hanging shirts in their closet and naps right under them. It’s adorable. He might mildly spoil her…he sleeps in his recliner with her at night sometimes when she stays over. He calls it their slumber party, ha! She gets so excited when we tell her my Dad (Grandpa Jeff) is coming to visit. She will cry and sprint around the house until he gets there. We have stopped telling her he was visiting until he is close by for that very reason…
I slept in a little, then went out for a run. I stopped about halfway through to take some pictures. It was such a beautiful morning – I went a little picture crazy! This is my favorite time of year. Hands down. <3
I love seeing the leaves change along the river. They’re just now starting! In a few weeks, I need to go back and check them out. The water was so calm today, too.
I got 6 miles in this morning. I felt a little tight when I started, but then I fell into a groove and felt really good. I had pretty hard runs on Tuesday and Wednesday, so today felt good to just shake out my legs. Tomorrow is a rest day, but I’d like to still do a little something. I’ll probably do a little rowing circuit. Maybe I can talk Jake into joining me…
I read somewhere about the benefits of putting your legs up right after a run. I’ll have to see if i can track the article down. Has anyone else heard this? I only did this for 5 minutes, but I watched a little Scandal while I did.
I’ve got a bunch of articles to read today, so I’m going to eat some breakfast and get started on that! I also need to get in an arm circuit and finish up my leg workout from yesterday. We have a birthday dinner for our friend Wade tonight, so we are looking forward to that!
Happy Friday Eve!

What is in your no-bake cookies?
The monster cookies look YUMMY.
I just love to bake (and cook) so I usually have a couple things on tap each weekend to make.
This weekend I think I am going to make Butternut Squash soup, and “healthy pumpkin spice muffins” 🙂
Here’s the recipe I used: https://www.livewellbakeoften.com/classic-no-bake-cookies/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=pinterest&utm_campaign=tailwind_tribes&utm_content=tribes
They were NOT a healthy version. At all. But they were good! 🙂
Oh, I’d love your pumpkin spice muffin recipe! I’ve been craving something pumpkin. I might make some pumpkin bread this weekend…YUM.
I am going to try these ones:
I have never made them before. I actually just recently discovered that I like “pumpkin spice”
