First, thank you SO much to everyone for your advice yesterday! I am going to try Body Glide and see if that helps. You gals are the BEST! I also have a couple new brands to explore, which I’m SO excited about. THANK YOU!
I love adding collagen and MCT oil to my coffee. I feel like it helps me focus a little bit better in the mornings, too. Anyone else do this?

This was my Monday. I HATE rest days, but I know they’re so good for you. I just feel so much better after a run. Especially when I’m spending my days doing computer work…

These two slept most of the day yesterday. They usually sleep in different rooms, but they stuck close to each other all day. It was cute.

I spent the ENTIRE day yesterday analyzing data for an article I’m co-authoring. I finished it about 4 PM! Fingers crossed everything gets approved. I’m still waiting to hear back about my dissertation, so I’m trying to finish up everything else before that happens. I know once I start my study, things are going to get crazy!

My flowers from Ozark Mtn Flower Truck are still going strong! I threw a couple away, but the majority still look amazing. It’s been almost two weeks! Check it out on Facebook and Instagram!

Lunch was a little bit of leftover salad, sweet potatoes, and chicken!

Lu moved to her second favorite sleeping spot (her first favorite is in Jake’s recliner). It always cracks me up when she sticks her head out like this. I’m easily entertained, I guess…

My Olympus came!! Eek. Jake reps for a company that promotes and sells Altra. We lucked out and both ended up being OBSESSED with their shoes. I run in their trail shoes whenever I run trail, so this is another pair to try out!

Aren’t they pretty???? <3

Apples and cinnamon heated up in the microwave for a little afternoon snack. Peanut butter and apples are my all-time favorite, but we have been out of peanut butter since last week…I’ve got to pick some more up! I keep forgetting every time I’m at the store. Cinnamon is a yummy second option!

This needs to be something I print out and read before every race. So much truth.

I have always wanted a balance ball, so I finally ordered one! I used it for the first time yesterday and I love it! It came with a DVD of some workouts, so I can’t wait to try those out, too. Does anyone have any fun moves to try with this? I’d love to hear them!

Guys, Ash sent me this yesterday – Sriracha Green Beans?! Heck, yeah! I’ve gotta try these.

Leftover shrimp curry over cauliflower rice for dinner. It was even better the second night!

I am LOVING this cooler weather – I need to get all my fall and winter clothes out of our attic. I love putting clothes away because it feels like I get an all new wardrobe when I get them back out. It’s the best! Jake LOVES getting everything out of the attic for me, too. ; )

Broke out my boots, too! Fall is by far my favorite season.

Our dogs hate pillows…they destroy our guest room almost every day. Eye-roll.

Up and ready for the first chilly run of the season – excited to break in my new gloves! I’m not a huge glove fan, I usually end up taking them off before I’m finished with a run, but I’ll start with them on! I love these from Ice Breaker. They’re so thin, but they keep my fingers warm.

You know you have an amazing group of running girlfriends when they’ve sent you post-running selfies before you’re even finished with your own run! We knocked out a hard hill repeat workout this morning. We all live within 3 miles of each other, which is the best! We can run to meet up, which we did this morning, do a workout, then run home. All of us are doing the Rock ‘n’ Roll in Nashville in April – Kayla (on the left) is running it as her first half, and Jyssica and I are running it as our first full! We are all SO excited. And nervous.

8 miles knocked out on this chilly morning! Hills are hard…

Jyssica and I took our gloves off before we started our hills, then totally forgot about them. I drove down to grab them after our run. Whoops!

Gross picture, but it looks like we weren’t the only ones who left something behind…yuck.

MCT Oil in my coffee before I stirred it…

Breakfast casserole and a muffin for breakfast! I think I’m getting hungry again already…hill days always make me hungry!

I’m doing more computer work today! Surprising, huh? Eye-roll. I need to get a leg circuit in at some point, too. After those hills this morning, it’s going to be a little rough! Jake has a meeting here at home later this evening about an event, so I might sit in on part of that. Other than that, I’m going to get some work done and enjoy this chilly day – I hope you do, too!
Anyone use MCT Oil and/or collagen?
Any good moves with a balance ball?
I think I want a standing desk…any input from anyone who has one?

Happy Wednesday!
I don’t drink coffee, but I have tried putting collagen in my tea and it was no bueno. I know it has no taste but it was just weird. I do however love putting it in hot chocolate, because it does fully dissolve and does not affect the taste or texture… protein hot chocolate? Win!! Come to think of it, I should incorporate collagen more often. Maybe I’ll try to start adding it to smoothies, or oatmeal. I don’t eat oatmeal often either, but if I do, I will use collagen. I was thinking of trying overnight oats soon, never made those before! Have a good day!
Dayle,
I love putting collagen in my smoothies! You can’t even tell it’s in there. I’m sure hot chocolate with collagen is delicious, too! YUM.
