Breakfast yesterday was an egg and veggie scramble, an apple and chicken sausage, and toast with jelly.

I did some laundry and a little computer work, then went out for a 4 mile run. I called the chiropractor to see if I could get in this week and they ended up having an opening for later in the day! I was pumped. I’m tired of this hamstring pain and I want to get it taken care of ASAP.

I made a smoothie for lunch, did a little more computer work, then headed to the chiropractor. I didn’t have much of an appetite, so I took my smoothie with me.

This is one of my favorite smoothie recipes: 1/2 C coconut milk, 1/2 C almond milk, 1/2 a banana, 1/2 C frozen blueberries, 1 T MTC oil, scoop of protein, 1 T peanut butter, spinach, and ice. I also threw in 1/2 a zucchini.

My first appointment with the chiropractor answered a lot of questions! They did some x-rays and I am SUPER out of alignment. One of my hips is higher than the other and my pubic bone is off centered. At least now I know why I’ve been having all of this hamstring pain! I had my first adjustment and they did some ultrasound therapy, as well. I go back on Wednesday, so I’m hoping we can get it taken care of quickly.
After the chiropractor, I ran to the grocery store. Here’s our haul for the week! They were completely out of the eggs we usually get and these were all that was left – boo. The store was NUTS. I think I waited in the checkout line for over 20 minutes.

Dinner was sweet potato chili and salad. We added quinoa to the chili and it was super filling!

Jake ate his chili first…I always eat salad first if I have it. Anyone else save their salad for last??

These. In the freezer. Heck yeah!

We watched an episode of Ozark while we ate and I had some dandelion tea after my dessert. We both still had some work to do, so we wanted to relax for a little bit before we started.

After our episode, I started on lunches for the week. We are having spaghetti squash casserole. A versoin of the recipe I used is under Eats. I usually just use whatever veggies sound good at the time. I cooked all this together with some balsamic vinegar, turmeric, coriander, and black pepper.

Once all of that cooked together and the spaghetti squash was cooked, I added it all together, mixed two eggs in with it, and baked is at 350 for 30 minutes. Super easy! While that was in the oven, I did a little more computer work.

These two…those are my legs in-between them. So squished. At least they keep me warm!

Reading used to be one of my favorite things. I would sit down with a good book and just read for hours. But now, I feel like all I do is read, so I hardly read for enjoyment. I’m hoping once I graduate, my love for reading returns. So for now, I’ll just be jealous that Jake enjoys reading.

This is my life. I cannot function without caffeine. Which is probably a sign that I need to detox a little, but that seems dangerous.

Up early this morning to get a run in! These are some of my favorite cold gear pieces. I was super excited to share links to these with you, but Brooks and Altra no longer make them! Which makes me SO sad. HERE’S a link to the Altra jacket that matches my pants.

Almost every morning, Lu wakes up when my alarm goes off, and then goes into our bathroom to sleep on this rug. She’s not quite ready to be fully awake, I guess. I get it!

It was 28 degrees when we started our run – BRRR! But there was no wind, so we both got pretty warm.

We got 6 miles in this morning. It felt good! I love running in cold weather. I really like running in snow. : ) As long as I can come back home and relax on the couch, wrapped in all the blankets afterwards!

A little sweaty stretching for the ole hamstring.

Veggies and a spinach and feta chicken sausage to go with our eggs for breakfast!

Mmm. I am on a toast and jelly kick right now. Blackberry jelly is my favorite.

I dressed the girls up after our run. They LOVE (sarcasm) these candy corn necklaces. Aspen was mad at me and wouldn’t let me take a picture. No joke.

I’m working on edits all day today – I hope to get a big chunk finished! Then we are going to Sam and Ryan’s later to pass out candy because we don’t get very many kiddos at our house for Halloween. I can’t wait to see everyone’s costumes! Be safe tonight and have fun!
Anyone else seeing a chiropractor right now?

Happy Halloween, friends!
You got a new jar of PB! Yum yum!
I have never been to a chiro, but I hurt my shoulder doing pull-ups 2 weeks ago. When it wasn’t getting better on its own I decided to try physio. So I have been 2x so far and am going back on Thursday. So far it is not any better, but I’m hoping that soon it will be! It’s weird, it only bothers me when reaching back or trying to do any pulling movements. Pressing movements don’t seem to bother it. The physio guy said it’s a rotator cuff strain. I am not impressed about that!
Happy Halloween!
Dayle,
Heck yeah for PB!! : )
Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that…aren’t injuries the worst? Ugh, I hope you’re feeling better!! I went to the chiro for the second time today. I’m feeling a little better! Fingers crossed.
I hope you have a great day!
