I was a little nervous about eating something yesterday, but I had been able to keep liquids down for awhile, so I thought a smoothie might be a good choice. It was delicious and hit the spot! I don’t normally weigh myself, but I happened to on Tuesday morning, right before this stomach bug. I ended up losing almost 4 pounds from this dang thing, I wouldn’t recommend this for losing weight. Now to try and get some energy back before race number one of two on Saturday!

I picked up some re:iimmune, which I swear by for sicknesses. This stuff really helps you recover.

Here’s everything it does! You drink it slowly over the course of a day. I’m going to make Jake drink it when he gets home from work.

And these. All the good things! Also, these taste like candy. Mmm.

This popped up on my Timehope yesterday and made me laugh! My first ever half marathon…and somehow, my name got messed up on the bib. I raced as Anjeanette. It’s hard to believe I ran my first half 7 years ago.

Since the smoothie stayed down, I had a little more chicken noodle soup and oyster crackers. This hit the spot for lunch. My Mom got some organic chicken noodle soup from Sam’s awhile ago and I put it in our freezer. I thawed it out yesterday and that’s what we have been eating on. It’s super good!

These two love laying in the sun. There’s also a vent over there and I turned out heat on. I think they’re loving it.

I tried to drink a lot water yesterday. I want to recover as quickly as possible. I’m the worst sick person ever. I have trouble having down time and letting myself rest. I think I have done a better job with resting this week, but I need to be careful and not overdo it too soon. I’m going to take it easy until Saturday. I might do an easy 2 mile run Friday, just to loosen up my legs since I’ve been laying on the couch or in bed for two days. But if I still feel kind of crummy, I won’t!

My appetite is coming back! I had a plain slice of bread with turkey in the afternoon. This would’ve been REALLY good with Sriracha, but I’m going to wait on that for a little bit…

Lu has gotten to be super cuddly. She will walk right up to you and push her head into yours. It makes my heart swell! I just love puppy cuddles. Aspen is the cuddliest dog in the world, so maybe some of that is rubbing off on Lulu.

Jake went to work yesterday, so he was pretty worn out when he got home. He was still feeling pretty crummy. Nurse Aspen was by his side to take care of him. I spent the day trying to get caught up on the work I didn’t do on Tuesday. I got most of it finished, then decided to dust and vacuum…anyone else use cleaning as procrastination for other things they need to be doing? I was finally starting to feel a little better, so I wanted to get up and move around a little bit.

I was craving grilled cheese and tomato soup. This hit the spot! It was SO good. I always add meat to grilled cheese, just so it keeps me full longer. We added sliced chicken breast to ours. We used mozzarella cheese, which doesn’t seem to bother my stomach like yellow cheese does. It was the perfect dinner since we were both still feeling kind of nauseated. I even got brave and had some ketchup with my grilled cheese…it was delicious.

Then we relaxed ALL night and watched the CMAs! My boy, Thomas Rhett, performed and I was ecstatic. We just saw him in concert a few weeks ago and it was amazing. Hands down the best concert I’ve ever been to. <3 I’m obsessed with him and his adorable family.

We still weren’t feeling all that great, but no one was getting sick, so we will take it!

When you want to cuddle, but you both feel awful…this is what happens. We made it work. ; )

We both woke up this morning feeling like a million bucks!! YAY! We both feel 100% back to normal. I’m so thankful! Now to continue to recover before the weekend. We are drinking re:iimmune and will be taking it easy until our first race on Saturday.
Any other re:iimmune drinkers out there?
Who likes ketchup with their grilled cheese?

Happy Friday Eve!
Love KETCHUP with my grilled cheese. I am also weird about how the grilled cheese it cut. When I was growing up my mom ALWAYS cut it into triangles so now I have to do the same. Triangles make for perfect dipping.
Have you ever made grilled cheese with multiple different cheeses, orange marmalade, and possible deli turkey (if you’re feeling spontaneous) … makes for a delicious sandwich!!
Are you feeling ready for the weekend??
Oh, Lindsay! That sounds SO good. I’m totally going to try that. YUM.
I don’t know if I FEEF ready, but I’m excited…that counts for something, right? I’m sure once I get started, everything will feel okay! At least that’s what I’m hoping for…
