Breakfast yesterday was two eggs, over-easy and a chicken/apple sausage link. I wasn’t hungry until later in the morning, but this filled me up and tasted really good.

The girls spent the morning in their designated spots…Lu stole yet another blanket.

I ran a couple of errands yesterday, so I finally put on some real pants. I thought I’d document it. It’s been awhile!

Yesterday was the BEST day! Our new Altra shoes and gators for me for our race this weekend came in! We both got their new workout shoes, the HIIT XT, and they are SWEET. HERE’S a link to the shoes!

This is the color I got.

My new Erin Condren planner also came in! I got started putting some things in it for next year…like our wedding and my marathon!

I had a quick phone meeting with the professor I’m co-authoring an article with, then I had a turkey and pepperoni sandwich. This sandwich hit the spot. I was still feeling a little drained, but overall, I felt TONS better.

After lunch, I got caught up on grading for the two online classes I’m teaching, then when Jake got home, we headed to Fleet Feet for an Altra Pub Run! I wasn’t going to run, but I just went and hung out while the group ran. It was fun! I also got to try the new fit id at Fleet Feet, which was sweet! It takes a scan of your foot and tells you all kinds of information!

After the run, Jake and I grabbed a quick dinner at Galloway, then went home to lay in bed and watch an episode of Ozark. It was relaxing!

As we get ready for our trail runs this weekend, I thought I’d share one of my favorite quotes.

This made me laugh pretty hard!

I didn’t sleep well last night, so I’m hoping I am able to sleep tonight! Jake is off work today for Veteran’s Day tomorrow. We are going to grab breakfast, do a short run, then he’s running some errands and taking care of stuff around the house while I work. We are looking forward to chowing down on some pasta tonight before our 15ks tomorrow at Dogwood! After our races Saturday morning, we will take the rest of the day easy, since we have another race on Sunday. Jake is doing the 50k and I’m doing the 25k. After having the flu, it’s going to be super important for us to rest up and still work on recovering from that and get ready for our longer runs. Here’s where we will be running this weekend! It’s beautiful!

So thankful for all of our veterans and those who continue to serve our country. THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart.
