I was CRAVING bacon yesterday, so I did my grocery shopping early in the morning so I could get some bacon for breakfast. Priorities! It was delicious.

Aspen is never far from her new toy…she carries it around the house all day. It also squeaks. Sometimes I don’t know why I do this to myself…

I did some computer work, then cooked chicken for dinner Monday night and our lunches this week. I was feeling lazy about meal prep, so this was all I did. Sometimes I just don’t have the motivation to cook different things! Good thing it’s a short work week for Jake! I made THIS Firecracker Chicken recipe.

These were on sale at the store, so I grabbed a couple boxes. I love the Pepper Jack and Country Ranch flavors. They’re delicious! Anyone else like these??

Lunch was a wrap with blueberry goat cheese, Sriracha turkey, red pepper chicken sausage, pepper jack cheese, and spinach. It was SO good. I kind of want another one right now…

About the time I finished lunch, the chicken finished baking! It smelled super good!

I had a phone call to discuss the presentation I’m doing next week, so I was planning on working out after that. I was NOT in the mood to workout at all, so I put all my workout stuff on BEFORE my phone call, that way I wouldn’t have any excuses not to do it as soon as I got off the phone.

I was excited to break in my new Altra HIIT XT, which are the new workout shoes that Altra just came out with.
Here’s the rowing circuit I wrote up. I only did half of it. I got super light-headed during the 400 m row, and then it just kept getting worse with each rowing portion after that. I did the 1,000 m row and then decided to call it quits. Does anyone else get light-headed on the rowing machine? I seems to always happen to me if i row more than 300 m at a time…I’m not sure why that happens!

Mmmmm. The best thing after a workout. Yum yum yum.

Dinner was the Firecracker Chicken I made earlier, parmesan broccoli and cauliflower, and a Hawaiian roll. This hit the spot! It was super spicy, I think I drank my entire Nalgene during dinner, but it was SO good.

Mmm mmm mmmmm. Putting parmesan on broccoli and cauliflower was the best idea I’ve ever had. ; )

Trying to cuddle Aspen…she always gets me with the sneak attack.

Just some quality girl time.

They posted the pictures from the back-to-back trail race Jake and I did last weekend. Day 1, when I ran the 15k, was SO cold. The water made your toes tingle as soon as you stepped in it. Luckily, Day 2, the 25k for me (50k for Jake) was 10 degrees warmer! The water didn’t hurt as badly.

Up early to get a chilly run in!

The sunrise and sky were beautiful this morning! Jake and I did 3 miles together, then I went on for 2 more, for a total of 5 to start off my Tuesday!

I came into the house to Jake cooking bacon and sausage! Mmm. My soulmate.

I know you’ve been waiting for this news…Lu is getting her hair cut today! Stay tuned. ; ) I’m going to yoga with my Momma after I drop her at the groomers, then it’s home to knock out some work. I have a dinner date with some gal pals tonight – Jyssica and Kayla – I can’t wait! <3
