Breakfast Friday morning! Blueberry waffle, eggs, and extra crunchy bacon. Yes, please. Anyone else like to dip their waffles/pancakes in syrup? I love it!

Jake got called into work around 1 AM Friday morning, then he went out for a little Black Friday shopping (I stayed in bed) then he got called back into work around 8 AM. He came home and passed out for about an hour after all that! Poor guy.

Once Jake woke up, we were off to run some errands and meet his family for lunch! We went to Coyote’s for wings. They were delicious.

My friend, Mike, and his wife, Liz, were in town! I got to meet them for a little bit after lunch. Jake got called back into work, so he didn’t get to see these two – he was pretty bummed! Mike and I went to high school together. I’m so glad he married Liz – she’s awesome! She’s definitely my favorite out of the two of them… ; )

I came home to these on our porch. Penny, Jake’s Mom, made homemade cinnamon rolls. Oh my gosh. These were seriously the BEST cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had. I almost didn’t tell Jake that his sister had dropped some off…I could’ve eaten this whole container and been just fine!

I obviously needed to try a cinnamon roll right away, so I had leftover Thanksgiving ham, stuffing, and part of a cinnamon roll. YUM.

Jake was still out working, so the girls and I put a movie on. I hadn’t seen Bad Moms yet, so that’s what we watched!

I also ordered Chinese…I was feeling really lazy and just wanted to lounge on the couch in my sweats. I can’t have Chinese food with crab rangoon – anyone feel that way? Jake got home right as our movie was finishing, so we got to hang out for a couple of hours!

On Saturday, we ran errands, then dropped Jake’s truck off to have the new in-dash touchscreen DVD player installed. (Can you tell I have no idea what it’s actually called?) While we were waiting, we met my parents at Ebbets for lunch.

We shared nachos and a pizza. They were both delicious!

Then I decided I needed a cookie. We drove around and looked at houses for a little bit, which is one of our favorite things to do!

We also picked up some delicious cold brew.

UGH. This hurt so bad. I was trying to show Jake this weird pair of flip-flop slippers at Academy. I dropped one of the slippers and tried to grab it. I ripped my nail really far back. It was traumatizing.

When I finally recovered from my nail situation (I’m not overly dramatic at all, am I?), it was time to get Jake’s truck! How sweet is this?? It can do all kinds of stuff. He can hear and reply to texts, AND we watched part of a movie, in our driveway – HA! I can’t wait for our first road trip with it.

This jacket is the coziest thing I have ever worn. I got it on Amazon. For like $13. I kinda want one in every color. Is that over-kill? It seems necessary.

After we played with the truck for awhile, we met Dan and McCall for dinner at Galloway. I was craving the Chicken Caesar salad. So. Good.

After dinner, Kallie came over and we just hung out at our house. We actually did some math problems, too. Jake is REALLY good at math and I am not. BUT, earlier in the day, Jake was trying to do some long division and I actually taught/reminded him how to do it! Perk of teaching elementary school. I was telling Kallie about this and somehow, we all ended up writing math problems for one another. It was hilarious. Especially because we couldn’t do some of them…Jake got called into work for a little bit after that – I think he was really just trying to get out of doing math problems. ; )

I woke up Sunday NEEDING pancakes. We ran to the store, got pancake mix and some other stuff so I could prep for the week, then we chowed down.

I leave for Florida tomorrow morning, so I prepped Jake’s lunches on Sunday. BBQ chicken and veggies. Super simple! He will be sick of broccoli after this week…

While I prepped, Jake organized our Christmas stuff and started hanging things up.

We got all of our lights hung up yesterday! It was the perfect day for it.

We needed to run a few errands, so we decided to grab a snack while we were out. I was craving spinach dip from Cheddar’s. I hadn’t had this in FOREVER. It was delicious.

We picked up these rubber mats for our garage gym. They are HEAVY.

I love how it turned out! We just need to move the white board over above the shelf by the bike and hang up some pictures/posters, then it’ll be finished!

The sky was beautiful last night.

I picked up some new pepper spray for when I’m running by myself. I loved the strap that came with this one.

Dinner was DELICIOUS. I followed THIS wing recipe. They turned out super good! We also had salad and rice.

Sriracha and ranch? Heck yeah.

The wings turned out SO good. We ate the entire 2 pounds…

Dandelion tea sounded delicious after dinner.

After dinner, we relaxed, ate chocolate, and watched Bloodline – our new show on Netflix.

Aspen got lots of cuddles in last night.

I hadn’t ran since Thursday, so I was definitely ready. I start officially training for my marathon on December 25th – I am using a coach for the first time and he just sent me my plan. I’m so excited to get started! Until then, I’m just going to run 2 or 3 days a week and still work on getting my hamstring to heal. I got 4 miles in this morning and it felt good to run.

Lots of deer were out on my run!

First run with my new pepper spray was a success!

I need to do some stuff around the house today and then get packed! I leave tomorrow morning for Florida. My Momma is going with me, so I’m excited for some time with her! The conference I’m presenting at is all week, but I’m only going to it on Wednesday, which is the day I present. My grandparents live near Tampa, so my Mom and I wanted to spend some time with them. We will stay at their house Wednesday night and spend all day Thursday with them. Our flight leaves super early Friday morning, so we will stay at a hotel close to the airport.
How was your Thanksgiving?
