Cryotherapy + some work + new home decor!

I slept in a little Wednesday morning and it was nice! I have really missed my early morning runs, like, I would give up ever sleeping in again to be able to run right now, but since I’m trying to stay positive, sleeping in is pretty nice! I got out of bed around 7:30, drank a little coffee, did some computer work, changed into one of my favorite shirts from Physique, then headed to yoga!

When you can’t find your sunglasses, you wear the ones from 2010 that you find in the center console of your car…

Yoga felt amazing. I have to be really careful with my hamstring, but it still feels good to get a good sweat on and stretch a little. Since I’m watching my leg, I spend a lot of time focusing on abs and arms. I try and do 3-5 push-ups with each flow, which ensures that my arms are DEAD by the end of class. I came home after yoga to chow down on breakfast – more casserole and an English muffin.

Kayla, one of my runner girlfriends, and I got some compression socks on Cyber Monday – they had a deal where you got 2 for $40, so we split it since we both wanted a new pair. They came in last week and I finally tried them on yesterday. So comfy!

Then I got ready to head to my second cryotherapy session. I had worn yoga pants for my last session, but since I’m wanting to work on my hamstring, I figured shorts were a better bet. I knew it was going to be a little bit colder this time…

After I changed, I walked out to this. Lu had hidden her toy. She hid it SO well…this dog. She cracks me up.

This is about 3 minutes after my cryotherapy session. Look at those goosebumps and how red my legs still are! It was definitely brutal going into the chamber without long pants on, but I’m hoping that it works even better. The temperature was at -250 F at 2 minutes and I went for 3, so I’m not sure what it got down to, but my skin was stinging a little when I got out, which is normal. I am getting a sports massage today, so I hope that helps, too! Can you tell I’m desperate to get back to running? Not just because I want to be ready for my training, but I REALLY hate not being able to run. I look forward to it EVERY day. It’s my stress reliever. Not much else makes me feel as good as finishing a run.

If you’re in the Springfield area THIS Sunday, come run (I’m going to try) with me!! Check out the Go Girl Run Springfield page for more information or hit me up! I’d love to hear from you!

Before I knew it, it was lunch time! I finished up our leftovers yesterday. Veggies and meat in a bowl? With Sriracha? Heck yeah!

I posted a video on my Instagram of this, but we got the girls new beds! They still choose to be on the chairs…we are going to work on getting them to love these instead…

Lu kept following me around crying. I let her out, gave her water, handed her a toy, but I couldn’t figure out what she wanted. Turns out, she just needed some love from her Momma. I’ll take it! Anyone else with small dogs carry them around all the time? Guilty.

Snack time! Pretzels and peanut butter. Mmmm.

I mentioned on Tuesday that we were having our friend Sharon, who is an interior designer, come over Wednesday evening to help us move some things around. Well, she did an AMAZING job. She helped us rearrange our living room (I’m obsessed) and she helped us with this beautiful gallery wall! We want a different plant, one that is a little shorter, but we figured this one could act as a place holder. We love everything she did! She used items we already had, too, which made it even better!

For dinner, we had baked Mahi Mahi with veggies and beet noodles. Mmm. So simple and so good!

Aspen on her new bed! We had to bribe her with the fire, but hey, it’s the little things.

I slept in a little again today – I guess I will enjoy it while I can, then did this circuit in our garage. It took about 30 minutes…sometimes I take dance breaks and sometimes I take dying breaks, so ya never really know how long a workout will take. ; ) Nothing bothered my hamstring until the second round of plank jacks, so I just held a plank.

How I felt in our garage this morning…BRR!

I am seeing a sports massage therapist later today, so hopefully that helps with my hamstring, too! I’ll also try and do another cryo session tomorrow. Tonight, we are seeing Chicago with my family! We are excited. I always loved the movie, so I hope the Broadway show is just as good!
Happy Friday Eve, friends!
