I ran errands yesterday morning. Before I left, I put the girls in their kennels. I think they are starting to get used to their new beds! I love how well the beds fit in their kennels. These new beds look a lot better than the beds they used to have.
I snacked on an RX Bar while I ran around. I love these things! I hadn’t had this flavor before – it was pretty good! I used to eat these a lot, but I guess I forgot about them. Looks like I need to order some more…
After I ran a couple errands, I decided I needed a smoothie and a manicure.
I usually keep my nails pretty long, but I hadn’t gotten them done in awhile and I’m always breaking them if I just paint them myself. I had my awesome nail lady cut them really short. Sometimes you need a change of pace!
My nail place is by Panera, which has my favorite coffee. I LOVE their hazelnut. Anyone else? I’d much rather have Panera coffee over Starbucks.
Then it was lunch time! I put the leftover Mahi Mahi and veggies on a piece of bread, then topped it with Sriracha. It was super good! I picked up grapefruit at the store the other day. I LOVE grapefruit, but I forget about it. Jake even tried to get me to get rid of my grapefruit spoons! No way!
Mmm. It was seriously so good.
The girls got one of their Christmas presents a little early! They got new collars. Aspen’s color had gotten so ratty. Lulu liked to bite on it when they were playing. So, it was time for new ones! They love them. Aspen also got a new fleece jacket and some shoes. I posted a video of her wearing the shoes for the first time on my Instgram story. Oh my gosh. It’s SO funny! They will take some getting used to…
The best snack. I ate WAY too much of this…adding Sriracha to hummus is one of the best things Jake ever taught me.
Guys, I found my sunglasses! My goodr glasses had been in our office. Thank goodness I don’t have to wear those awful white ones anymore…now to find my black pair…
I had a sports massage yesterday. It was incredible. I mean, it hurt pretty bad, but it made me feel SO much better about this hamstring stuff. The sports therapist thinks it’s actually Myofascial Tissue causing me the pain. She was rubbing a spot kind of on my hip and I was like, ooookay, that’s making my hamstring fire that pain at me! She smiled and said she thought she knew what it was and how we could fix it. I was SO happy. I need to keep doing what I’m doing and make sure to stay super hydrated. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll be ready to start training in 3 weeks. I am super sore this morning (partly from my workout yesterday) and have some bruising where she really worked some spots out, but I am SO thankful I went and saw her (thank you, Cynthia, for the recommendation)!
I got home from my massage as Jake was getting home from work. We changed and headed to meet my parents and sister for dinner!
Traditionals at Maria’s – yes, please.
My Mom and I shared the shrimp and portabella fajitas. They were delicious.
The perfect fajita.
My Dad has really bad restless leg syndrome, so it’s kind of miserable for him to sit down for an extended period of time. Poor guy. It sounds so miserable. I can’t even imagine. Anyone else struggle with that? I’d love to hear some tips on dealing with it! So because of that, he didn’t go to the show with us, but he dropped us off after dinner! Can you tell my sister loves that I am always taking pictures? ; )
My parents have season passes and they are in the front row of the mezzanine, which is so nice. We never feel cramped!
I don’t love Broadway shows, but I enjoy them. I like seeing ones that I am already familiar with. Chicago was really good! The actors and actresses did an incredible job.
Another picture at intermission. I was starting to get sleepy, so we got up and walked around. This was a little past my 8:30 bed time. ; )
I know you’re not supposed to take pictures (I didn’t have my flash on!), but this is one of my favorite songs. I took it JUST so I could show you guys. It didn’t turn out very well…
Jake realized that our shoes matched, so we had to document it.
We have a lot going on this weekend, but it’s all super fun stuff! We have date night tonight, then Jake has a mountain bike race tomorrow, followed by a Christmas party. On Sunday, I’m hosting a social run for Go Girl (I’m an ambassador for them), so if anyone is in the Springfield area, you should come join us! I will post updates on Facebook and Instagram. You will have the option to run 1 mile or 3 (or walk!) and then we will hang out at Galloway Grill after. It’s going to be a fun time, so come hang out with me! : ) You can also watch the Go Girl Springfield Facebook page – they posted about the event on there!
I hope your weekend is wonderful!! And maybe I’ll get to run with some of you on Sunday!
