Breakfast Friday was a little more crockpot casserole and an English muffin with jelly.

Then it was time to conduct my first interview! I’m interviewing pre-service teachers for my dissertation, so it was fun to get started on that. After our interview, I transcribed everything.

I had a quick meeting after the interview, then I grabbed Panera for lunch. I LOVE their squash soup. It’s SO good.

Then it was time to wrap Christmas presents!

It was a chilly day, so having the fire on was a necessity! The girls loved it, too. Here’s a rare picture where one of them isn’t camped out in front of it.

I went to yoga, which I decided I’m not going to do for awhile, which bums me out. It started bothering my hamstring a little, so I’m going to take a break until I’m healthy. I came home from yoga to Jake’s mustache. HA! Then we headed out for date night! I am still having a hard time talking to him…I start laughing every single time I look at him.

We went to Civil Kitchen for dinner. We shared these wings and a beet salad (that I forgot to take a picture of).

And these pork belly tacos! Everything was delicious, as always. If you’re in the area and haven’t been to Civil, GO! You won’t regret it.

After dinner, we went to Mother’s. They were doing a beer release and it was a stout, which is my favorite! They released this Coconut Extra Stout and holy cow – it was SO good.

Date nights with this guy will never get old!

Then it was up Saturday to grab coffee and take Jake to meet our friend Scottie. They were going to Two Rivers Mountain Bike Park for an enduro race. We grabbed coffee from The Press before we met him.

While we were waiting, I picked up something from the Aviary for breakfast. I love their food.

This guy and his ‘stache…

I got the Is It Morning? crepe, which has bacon, egg, onion, and cheese (which I had them leave off). It’s so yummy.

My half-eaten fruit…I got hungry on the drive home.

This little girl wanted lots of cuddles. I had turned the fire on again and I don’t know that Aspen ever moved from her spot in front of it.

Definitely skipped my workout to stay home and relax with my dogs. I wasn’t even mad about it! Sometimes we just need days like that.

Then I headed to Two Rivers to hang out with Jake and the rest of the MORC crew at their Christmas party, Crankmas. Here are some of the fellas!

The MORC board – these guys crack me up!

This was Jake’s first time racing enduro and he ended up getting 4th! He’s awesome.

Love this group of people!!

We were both starving when we left, so we stopped and had wings at Coyote’s. We usually do this when we come home from Two Rivers. We both love wings, maybe too much…

We stopped by the store after dinner to get Old Fashioned ingredients. These are our favorite drinks, and Jake has perfected them.

So. Good.

Aspen in her spot.

This baby girl and her toy…

We started our Sunday morning in the sunshine! I went on a bike ride while Jake and Aspen ran.

In case you were wondering…Jake is still rockin’ the moustache…

Aspen got to break in her new running coat. I think she really liked it!

Our attempt at a family photo. Aspen wouldn’t quit licking me. Her eyes look crazy here!

After our run/ride, we went to B2 for coffee and breakfast. We shared the breakfast wrap and a bagel sandwich. They were both so good and we love that B2 uses healthy ingredients. Win-win!

We found this at the store, I can’t wait to try it! Has anyone had this before???

We got home from the grocery store and both had a headache. Then we realized we hadn’t had any water, which is SUPER rare for me. I drink a ton of water. I drank an entire Nalgene and immediately felt better. Jake chopped all the veggies for our breakfast burritos this week and I dusted and vacuumed. After I did that, I headed out for another bike ride to mark the turn-arounds for the Go Girl fun run I was hosting that afternoon.

Here’s part of the group!

Everyone ran their own distances. They chose between 1, 2, and 3 miles. This was actually my first time running in almost 2 weeks, so I did 2 miles and made myself go super slow. My hamstring bothered me a little, but nowhere near like it was. YAY! I’m hoping that’s a sign that it’s healing.
After we ran, we all hung out at Galloway and enjoyed drinks and dinner! Everyone told me they enjoyed this, so I’m going to try and make it a monthly thing. I know some people couldn’t make this date, so I’ll try and let everyone know the next date 3 weeks out. Can’t wait!

I had the BLT and a side salad for dinner. It hit the spot! I forgot there was cheese on the BLT, so, I had cheese last night, but that’s okay!

My activities for the day! The weather was gorgeous, so I loved being able to spend my day outside.

When you get overly excited about your new chalk markers and ruin your menu board…whoops. I guess this is the wrong kind of board? I CANNOT get this off.

We finished up part 2 of Hatfields and McCoys last night! We are loving it. I hope we finish the last part tonight – hint, hint, Jake! ; )

Two sleepy angels.

All the veggies (and chicken breakfast sausage) Jake chopped for us, which make mornings SO much easier.

Breakfast burrito bowl for the win to start my Monday!

I have TONS of grading to get caught up on today. I’d love to get a bike ride in later and maybe some lifting. We will see! It’s supposed to be gorgeous here today, so I want to take advantage of that!
Happy Monday!
