Yesterday started with some computer work at home before I decided to go to the library for a couple of hours. I was trying to get some stuff done while lounging in bed (AKA being lazy), but the girls just thought I was there to cuddle.
I chowed down on a burrito bowl before I headed to the library for the morning. These are SO good. I think having the shredded sweet potatoes makes all the difference. We usually use diced sweets and they’re good, but I like the hash brown consistency better.
My library set up! I got a TON done in the 4 hours I was at the library. I’m going to have to do that more often…
I celebrated all that work with a soy milk latte. It was delicious.
Then it was home to eat lunch! I had leftovers from Tuesday. YUM. Fish, sweet potato rounds, and that quinoa mixture from Target. It’s super good.
I added a little cinnamon and nutmeg to my latte. I drank half and saved the other half for this morning. I’m enjoying it right now!
After lunch, I NEEDED a black bean brownie with my coffee.
Then, I got the BEST delivery! I used to use this company called Homemade. Delivered. (Thank you for the reference, Tammy!) and I loved it. It worked really well when I was living in an apartment by myself, working full-time and going to school full-time. I have always loved to cook, but sometimes I just didn’t have the time. Well, I ordered from them again after a long time of going without and it was delivered yesterday! They bring it right to your door in these thermal bags. You can also pick certain diet restrictions for your food. You’ll see what I mean below. It’s seriously amazing.
I wanted chicken salad, but I wanted it Paleo. They have that option on some of their recipes! I sampled a little of this yesterday. WOW. It’s delicious!
I also got this soup (which we are having for dinner tonight) and some bone broth.
After the excitement of my Homemade. Delivered. delivery died down and I did about another hour of grading, I took the girls on a 2 mile walk. Oh, guess what!!! MY HAMMY DIDN’T HURT AT ALL YESTERDAY! I’m trying not to get ahead of myself…but YAY!
We stopped to look at the ducks.
We got this in the mail and it made me smile REAL big. <3 Thanks, Dudas!
Lu sits in our guest room every day in the afternoons and waits for Jake to get home. It’s adorable.
The picture isn’t the best, but aren’t the sleeves on this shirt cool??? They’re kind of flowy on the shoulders, but the rest of the shirt is snug. It’s seriously the softest shirt I’ve ever felt. I got it at Target and I want more…
Lu wanted some cuddles before we left for dinner.
I was pretty excited that it was warm enough out to wear my favorite leather jacket.
I had been looking forward to a glass of wine all week (yes, I know it was only Wednesday). This hit the spot!
Anyone else prefer to sit at the bar at restaurants? We always love chatting with the bar tenders.
If we go to CB, I HAVE to get their fried chicken skins. They’re seriously my favorite thing. I could eat probably 7 of these pans…
I had the Apple and Kale salad and Jake got the Chicken Schnitzel. Both were incredible.
Then we headed to the Moxie to see Dazed and Confused! It was my first time going to the Moxie (aaaaand my first time seeing Dazed and Confused). I loved both! The Moxie is adorable and I know we are definitely going back. We also saw our first movie together – after almost 2 years, ha!
They had a really yummy stout on draft…I can’t remember what it was called, but we loved it!
Jyssica, one of my running buddies, posted this yesterday and it made me smile! Eat all the Sriracha, girlfriend! <3 I miss running with her…
This made me laugh. Aspen HAS to have a blanket over her to sleep. Normally she lays right down underneath it and passes out. Not last night. She sat like this forever. I guess she wasn’t ready for bed? I can’t imagine life without dogs.
Look how big this toilet paper roll is. It won’t even fit in the holder in our bathrooms! Not only that, but it’s this really flaky kind that we both hate – and I promised I’d never get again. I REALLY dropped the ball on this one.
I have more interviews today, so I’ll be finishing up some transcriptions and that kind of stuff in-between. I also need to finish up grading finals for the college courses I taught this semester. I suppose I need to start getting ready for the courses I’m teaching in the spring, as well. I taught two this semester and it was a lot…so I guess I wasn’t thinking when I said I’d teach three in the spring. Remember my post from yesterday when I said I was dumb? Here’s another example. ; ) I hope you have a wonderful day!
It’s Friday Eve!
