I wanted to run when the sun was shining, so I slept in a little yesterday, got up and had a little snack, then got started on some work. I had half a bagel with raspberry jam. It was DELICIOUS.

Alright, ladies. I’ve shared this bra before – I’ve been running in these for about a year now. I have two of them and I literally wear one of them for every single run. I’ve even started wearing them to the gym. I decided it was time to get a third. It’s the Juno bra by Brooks – link HERE

I slapped on my trusty ole knee brace and hit the pavement. My knee hasn’t bothered me at all, so I’m going to run without the brace on Thursday and see how it feels.
Definitely had some hamstring tightness within the first mile, but it went away as I got warmed up. I’m taking things one day at a time, staying slow, and just listening to my body. I got 5 miles in yesterday. It was CRAZY windy.
Lunch was this bowl of deliciousness again – roasted broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, onion, jalapeños, and lentils. Topped with my current obsession: goat cheese. Can you eat too much goat cheese? Asking for a friend.
As someone who still occasionally struggles with left and right (feel free to make fun), I appreciate that Feetures labels their socks. When I was in middle school, I was the point guard on my basketball team. I literally had to write left and right on the top of my shoes so I could call out plays correctly. I know, it’s embarrassing. I’ve embraced it. Jake has learned to point when giving me directions…just saying which way to go doesn’t always cut it. Really, you can make fun of me. I can take it. ; )
I seriously love this lunch. It’s so filling and tastes incredible.
After lunch I had a protein ball for dessert. These are delicious and I need to make more.
I worked for a few hours, then needed a snack. I threw this together again. This is the perfect lunch for when you’re at the pool. I used to take it with me at my apartment. Maybe that’s why I like it so much, it reminds me of summer!
I worked until Jake got home from work. He had dinner plans with his Dad, so we hung out until he left. I heated up leftovers for dinner – salmon and sweet potatoes. Oh, look at that – more goat cheese. Whoops.
When Jake left for dinner, I worked for about 30 more minutes, then poured myself a huge glass of wine, and starting going through some clothes. This wine is the RedVolution by Bota Box. It’s the best red wine.
Soooo, this is how I spent my evening while Jake grabbed a quick dinner with his Dad to chat about their weekend races.
Going through clothes! I wanted to watch New Girl on our big TV, so I brought everything from my dresser into the living room and went through ALL of it. I even tried some stuff on, hence the mirror. I got rid of a bunch! It felt productive, but also relaxed since I had wine and New Girl. The girls kept trying to get me to play with them – that’s their green dog toy. Lu will pick it up and kind of fling it at you if you ignore her. It’s funny until it hits you in the shin. It hurts!
Jake got home from dinner, laughed at me for going through clothes in the living room, then we watched an episode of The Ranch before bed.
I have Health Tracks today, then I’m going to finish reading through chapter 3 of my dissertation. I have a few errands to run, but I’m hoping I can get started on reading chapter 5 today, too. I meet my editor next week to get chapter 4 back from her, so I will hand off chapter 5 then. Eek!
Jake and I leave for OKC Friday morning to help with the Go Girl race there – I’m an ambassador for Go Girl, so I’m super excited to run one of the races in a different state! If you’re going to be in the area, let me know! I’d love to meet up. : )
