Breakfast on Monday was sautéed spinach, kale, and mushrooms, plus two eggs, and a piece of toast with jam. I think this is one of my favorite breakfast combos.

I worked all morning on the computer, then took a break to get a run in. I wasn’t feeling the wind yesterday, so I went to my parents’ house to run on their treadmill. I REALLY want us to get a treadmill. I think I’d use it a lot. I rocked one of my new shirts from the Go Girl OKC race. They made this right on the race site for me. I love it!

My parents moved into a new house a few years ago. Their new workout area is in their massive storage room in the basement. Can you tell my Dad is a Hawkeyes fan? ; )

I did an easy 3-miler on the treadmill and felt amazing. No little pains at all. I’m trying not to get ahead of myself, but this is the longest I’ve gone and felt good.

I am super obsessed with this song right now. I think I listened to it 7 times yesterday…and I’m listening to it right now as I type this…

After my run, I came home and chowed down – lentils with goat cheese and Sriracha and a HUGE smoothie. It was delicious. Also, if you haven’t put goat cheese on lentils, do it. Let me know what you think. You’re going to love it, I just know it.

During lunch, I knocked out a little more work, then took another break for an Epsom salt soak. I finished off my smoothie while I relaxed.

After my Epsom soak, I knocked out 2 more hours of work, then needed a snack. I polished off this bag of popcorn…I can’t buy this stuff for awhile. I have no self-control! I watched an episode of New Girl while I snacked, too. This show makes me laugh so hard.

I finished up my New Girl episode and moved to the couch to knock out some grading. I got EVERYTHING graded for the 3 college courses I’m teaching this semester – that feels so good. Then it was time for another snack. Carrots and a rice cake. Mmm.

Lots of puppy cuddles.

This filter makes me laugh. Lu didn’t find it as amusing as I did.

Leftovers for dinner – chili and cornbread. I put the rest of the chili in the freezer. I think there’s enough for 2 more meals for both of us…

Yesterday was the TWO month mark from getting to marry this guy. I can’t believe it! <3 Also, yes, he’s kneeling after running 102 miles in Colorado. He’s crazy. But like crazy awesome.

4 AM wake-up call to meet my girls for a run! We knew it was going to be rainy, so we were up in the air on whether or not we should run outside or go to the Y and run inside. No matter what, we were running together!! I really wanted to break in my new Rab rain jacket, so I was hoping for a run outside. In this picture, I am unsuccessfully trying to show you the cute teal Rab logo on the sleeve. I love how this jacket fits!

We decided to risk it and run outside. It was raining pretty hard when we left my house, but about a half mile into our run, it started POURING. We had a blast! I love running in the rain. Here we are after 6 rainy miles. So thankful to have girlfriends like these 3 who will run in the rain with me! <3

I meet my editor later today, so I will hand off my LAST chapter to her. I’m getting there, friends. One SMALL step at a time. I cannot wait to be finished. I’m so close. So, so close.
Jake and I are supposed to go to Joplin tonight to put on an Altra trail shoe demo, but if it rains all day like it’s supposed to, I bet it gets cancelled. We will see!
Happy Tuesday!
