I love this shirt! It’s another one I got from Ultramax Tees at the Go Girl event in OKC. Sweaxy. HA! I went to the Y yesterday morning to get a little run in before hot barre at Physique. It was raining and I didn’t want to be soaked before hot barre, so I ran around the indoor track. 30 loops for 4 miles.
After barre, which was incredible (as always), I was starving. I came home and chowed down on a leftover turkey burger, salad, and lentils. Goat cheese and Sriracha are both back in my life after not feeling very well Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning. I am so happy.
I was working on some edits for chapter 4 of my dissertation when the doorbell rang – it was my team kit from Trail Sisters!!!! Love, love, love.
It was filled with so many amazing goodies.
I mean, seriously. Look at all of this! I’ve never worn Injinji socks, so I’m anxious to try them out. We also got a Smartwool shirt, a Patagonia singlet, and a trucker. All three say Team somewhere on them. Plus, check out all those stickers!
I was (and still am) pretty dang excited. I can’t wait to rock this new new gear out on the trails! I’ve mentioned this before, but trail running is definitely my favorite. I’m ready for the rain to stop so I can get back out on them.
This was the meeting we went to for MORC the other night. Jake must’ve been saying something sassy to me – I’m the one in the front turned around, probably making a face at him. It made me laugh.
My excitement over Team Trail Sisters made me super hungry, so it was snack time! Rice cake and a protein ball.
I finished ALL major edits for chapter 1 and am just about finished with chapter 4! I had a couple of things to change for my committee in chapter 1, so I’m sure I’ll have to change things for them in ALL chapters. I’m just trying to stay on top of the editing process. I think it would be super overwhelming to fall behind on edits. It seems like a never-ending process, so I’m glad I am finishing them up as soon as I get them.
I needed another snack yesterday. This hit the spot! I think this is my favorite flavor of Nut-Thins – Pepper Jack Cheese.
Lu had a tick on her yesterday – poor baby. She got some extra cuddles from me. Poor Aspen had TWO on her the other day. I hate ticks.
I needed a chocolate fix. Dark chocolate chips. SO. Good.
We decided to go out for dinner, so I sported my new hat! It’s SO comfortable.
Our first stop was to Missouri Spirits, which is where we are having our reception celebration after we get married! For new readers, we are getting married in May in Breckenridge, CO, then two weeks later, we are having a celebration here in town. We are so excited!
We had the most amazing Old Fashioned there. Then we headed to Lost Signal for BBQ.
My favorite way to drink beer – flights! I love getting to sample small pours of different beers. I liked all of them, too, which never happens!
We shared the nachos and then ended up ordering tacos, too. Both were super delicious.
I have a dentist appointment today (with my Dad), then I’m going to Health Tracks. After that, I’m going to finish up edits for chapter 4! I need to change out the clothes in my closet – I’m SO ready to put my winter stuff in the attic! I’ll probably work on that this weekend. I have a 10-miler with Kayla on Saturday, then Jake and I are playing with the idea of going hiking!
Is anyone racing this weekend? GOOD LUCK!
Happy Friday, friends!

Looks like you had the perfect Thursday! Did you REALLY run 30 laps on an indoor track? I think I can do 4 miles on a treadmill but a track … do way, my hips would start hurting because of the constant turning and that sucks. Also, weren’t you drenched in sweat from that run? The indoor track at my gym is near the pool so it’s super humid. Ugh.
p.s. How are Jake’s teeth doing? Has he gotten his permanents yet?
Lindsay,
They keep the track cooled, so I wasn’t too sweaty!
Jake won’t get his permanents until May or June, but he’s loving the temporaries! It’s still weird for me…it’s ever weirder for him!
Have a great day!!
