I just love this breakfast. One thing I don’t love about it – the acid reflux it gave me yesterday. I was lazy yesterday morning and slept in. I think it was the jelly that gave me the acid reflux on my run. I’ve eaten the veggie mixture and eggs before a run and been just fine. I think the jelly was just too much. BUT, this breakfast is delicious.
Kayla talked me into getting this coffee mug at Target the other day. I don’t hate it! I just love pineapples…and coffee…
This precious little angel slept ALL day yesterday. I had to document her being awake…also, she’s just adorable.
I headed out for a run early afternoon. I love how green everything is getting.
I feel very blessed to live close to trail with views like this.
I definitely wore too much…I was SO hot after about a mile. This time of year is hard to dress for! My acid reflux kicked in after my second mile. I wanted to get 5 miles in, but after 2, I wanted to quit SO badly. I kept telling myself I would go one more mile, then I could stop. At 4 miles, I decided I needed to suck it up and get the 5 I wanted. Yesterday’s run definitely tested my mental toughness.
I found my favorite kombucha in a huge container at Lucky’s the other day! I was pumped. I sipped on this with my lunch, hoping it would help settle my stomach. I think it helped a little!
This lunch was amazing. I love the Everything But the Bagel Seasoning. I ordered mine off Amazon since we don’t have a Trader Joe’s here. That seasoning is what’s on my chicken.
After lunch, I spent about 30 minutes on abs, arms, and stretching. I used the stretches that Jyssica taught us in her yoga for runners workshop. I love the folder she gave everyone – she demonstrated each pose and even showed modifications. She’s the best!
I was having tons of trouble getting motivated to work on edits yesterday. I think it’s hard right now because I have a lot I COULD be doing, but nothing that HAS to be finished on a deadline. Does that make sense? I NEED deadlines. I’m so close to being finished, but I still have a lot to do. I’m forcing myself to finish ALL edits that I have for chapter 3 today. No matter what. This is my last round of edits, so I’ll be almost finished with the chapter after I complete the edits (I still need edits for the last 15 pages). That should be all the motivation I need. I have 5 chapters total. I will send chapter 4 to the head of my committee today, too, so that’s the other thing on my To-Do list. No slacking today!
Since I didn’t feel like working yesterday, I knocked out a bunch of other work (packing, grades, emails, things like that). I also made a sweet playlist for Nashville! You can find it HERE!
I love this zucchini bread.
Jake tagged me in this yesterday. I read it and I will say I actually learned a few things! I shared about my first mountain biking experience last week. It was a little terrifying, but I’m ready to go again.
I guess avoiding the real work I needed to do made me hungry yesterday ; ). Rice cake with PB and honey!
I ripped the back pocket of these jeans last week…while I was eating a piece of chocolate. For real. You can’t make this stuff up. Luckily, my Grandma was able to sew it back on! She had to reinforce the other pocket, too. She said it was close to ripping. Eye-roll. Maybe I need to lay-off the chocolate?
We went to W.F. Cody’s for dinner last night to celebrate our friend, Alex’s, birthday. It was a blast to have everyone together. I had the reuben and it was AMAZING.
This morning’s re-run motivation: smooches from my littlest love.
Someone was wanting her breakfast at the kitchen table…at 4:30 AM…
I had a great 4 mile run with Brandi and Kayla this morning. It was the perfect running weather!
I have lots to do today, so I’m going to get more coffee and knock out some work! No procrastinating this morning. Wish me luck!
Also, my amazing future in-laws are celebrating 25 years of marriage today! Happy Anniversary, Jeff and Penny! We love you!
Happy Tuesday, friends!
