Breakfast after my run yesterday – I told you I can’t get enough of this breakfast! Also, I totally cut my recovery run short by one mile because I got hungry – I planned on doing 4, but stopped at 3 so I could go home and eat. I felt pretty good on my whole run once I got warmed up. The first half mile was a little rough. My legs are definitely tired from the race last weekend!
I worked most of the morning on getting caught up on stuff, so the next thing I knew, it was lunch time. I hadn’t had time to get to the grocery store yet and I had a couple of errands I wanted to run while I was out, so I knew I’d be starving if I waited to eat. I decided to eat some leftovers. I felt like a big kid eating this lunch, but it was delicious! I love apple sauce, but I always forget about it.
I stole this picture from Jyss – that’s me and Kayla (my hair is braided). I think we were in awe of how many people were at the race.
I ran errands, then it was snack time! Black garlic hummus (with Sriracha) and Ranch Nut Thins. Mmm.
I did a little leg circuit, but kept getting interrupted by someone wanting to cuddle. She will lay right underneath me on my yoga mat (I was doing fire hydrants).
Look how massive this orange is! It tasted amazing.
I had some sleepy girls on my hands while we waited for Jake to get home from work.
Jake came home, I mowed while he used the weed eater, then he grilled us a delicious dinner before we rushed off to a meeting for an event we help with over Labor Day. I’ll share more about it later! We had chicken kabobs and sweet potato chips.
Jake wants a van like this super bad….we had to stop and look at it after our meeting.
I hopped into the bathtub for an Epsom salt soak when we got home. I don’t get any privacy. Ever. Lu ended up dropping toys into the bathtub so I would play with her…
As I was getting out of the tub, she just sat and stared at me like this.
My race photos were finally uploaded – that’s the look of HURT!
Jake and I got up this morning and knocked out a run. Lu was asleep in our guest bathroom before we left…there’s never a dull moment with this dog. Aspen sleeps in her chair most of the time, but we never know where we are going to find Lulu.
Oh! On our run today, we ran by some goats. As we were getting to the end of the fence, we saw a goat with its head stuck in the fence. Poor baby. He couldn’t get it out. Jake stretched the square part of fence that was around its head apart and I pushed the goats head back into the yard. He was so happy and immediately started sprinting off to the rest of the goats. I hope he wasn’t stuck there all night like that.
I sent this to Jake this morning. He didn’t think it was very nice, but it made me laugh really hard.
Breakfast after our run! As we were eating, Jake goes, “Man, I love these veggies. I don’t think I’ll ever get sick of them.” HA! They really are super yummy!
I’m getting my hair cut today! Well, just trimmed. But I don’t get it trimmed very often, so it definitely needs it! Then I need to spend the rest of the day working on edits. I’m feeling behind already. We are going to a Taco Tuesday bike ride tonight, so I’m looking forward to that! Our 5-miler was pretty tough this morning, just since I’m still recovering from Saturday, so I’m sure my legs will be dead after this ride, I think it’s 12-15 miles, but if we ride from our house, it’ll be almost 30. We will see how it goes!
Also, I cannot believe it is MAY! Holy cow. We get married in 25 days…time is flying, friends!
Happy Tuesday!
