Getting there + I missed my routine + first time cooking swordfish…

I finally got back to some sub 9s in my run yesterday. I think my body is finally healed after our Nashville races. I’ve definitely been feeling a little flat. I’ve been looking at different training plans for my full – I think I found one that I’m going to tweak and use. I’ll start training June 17th! I’m excited.

Ooooh, these breakfast burritos are SO good! I don’t think I’ve had meatless breakfast sausage before – I can’t remember what kind I got, but it’s delicious.

Lu was napping for about an hour yesterday. I walked by her on the chair after she woke and this is what she was doing – just staring. I think she was super out of it. It made me laugh really hard. Look at that smooshed up hair.

I made a smoothie bowl for lunch yesterday. I topped it with chia seeds, flaxseeds, almonds, and coconut. I don’t love the protein powder we have, so I’m trying to use it up. Any recommendations on what I should get next??

I was a little nervous about trying something like this again after the awful riced sweet potatoes we had, but this stuff is DELICIOUS. I highly recommend.

In addition to the cauli rice, we had swordfish steaks and brussels. The swordfish was massive. I couldn’t finish mine.

I got some quality cuddles with my girls while Jake was out working for a couple of hours. He’s on call this week, so we never know when he might get called into work.

Sorry for the creepy faces – when Jake got home last night, we looked at houses online for a little bit. Jake loves looking at houses and he always manages to find super cool ones.

Kayla and I had planned to meet at 5:15 to run this morning. Jake woke me up at 5 asking if I was still meeting her – I jumped out of bed and grabbed my phone. I hadn’t set my dang alarm! Luckily, Kayla had texted me at 4:30 saying it was storming pretty bad, so she was going to run after work. Phew. I was wide awake since I freaked out about almost being late, so I made coffee and we cuddled in bed with our babies. It was a nice start to the morning!

We are getting our marriage license today!!! I can’t believe we get married NEXT weekend. Holy cow. It’s coming up so fast!

    Hello from Michigan! I just ordered from 1up nutrition the whey protein powder, coconut ice cream flavor. I will let you know how I like it :). Do you have any recommendations for BCAA Supplements? Do you take them often?

    Can’t believe it’s almost wedding time. Do you guys have friends coming out for the wedding too or is it a family only event? I know you mentioned that you are hosting a reception when you get back home but I am sure it would be special to have friends at the ceremony in the mountains too as you seem very close to your friends and family! 🙂
