First, thank you SO much for all of your kind words. I cannot even express to you how much they mean to us. You guys really are the best! Second, last weekend was everything I’ve ever hoped for – it was so perfect! I am going to split the whole weekend into two blog posts. Today, I’ll talk about Thursday and Friday (pre-wedding), and tomorrow I’ll share about Saturday and Sunday (wedding and post-wedding). I hope you enjoy reading about our wedding weekend!
Thursday, before we left, I got my lashes filled and grabbed a smoothie.

Then it was off to the courthouse before we hit the road! We asked two of our best friends, Dan and Katie, to be our witnesses. We were legally married at the courthouse Thursday afternoon, but we are not counting that date as our wedding date. We will celebrate May 26th as our anniversary, which is when we had our service in Colorado with our family.

After the courthouse, we all went to Brew Co to grab a quick lunch together. I had the cod sliders – they’re delicious!

Then Jake and I were off to Colorado! We stopped at a Redbox and grabbed a couple of movies – this really made the trip go by quickly!

Lots of yummy snacks!

For dinner, we grabbed Qdoba. I love Qdoba. I got the pick two with a salad and a chicken quesadilla. It was super good.

Jake was really excited about his burrito.

Jake and I camped in our truck Thursday night. I didn’t want to drive very much on Friday, so we decided to drive all the way to the Breckenridge/Frisco area Thursday night. We got to our camp spot about 1:30AM mountain time (2:30AM our normal time) – it’s about a 12ish hour drive. We were EXHAUSTED. Jake had already gotten everything ready in the camper shell, so we literally just climbed back there and passed out. I slept really well, which I was thankful for! We woke up to this view – it’s not the best picture, but it was beautiful.

Jake made us coffee as soon as we were awake.

I was snuggled up in my sleeping bag.

Our original plan had been to find a spot to get married somewhere on a look-out or trail, so after we woke up, we headed out to explore a little bit. We also loved the house we were staying in, so if the backyard was pretty, we thought we might get married at the house. We were kind of up in the air on the location, which kind of made exploring different spots fun! We stopped by Sapphire Point, which is a pretty popular wedding location. Isn’t it pretty??

Our parents posted this picture – they were getting close to us!

Jake and I wanted to get a trail run in, but we were both starving, so we went into Frisco to grab breakfast first. We went to the Butterhorn Cafe – it was super good! We stayed in Frisco for two weeks last summer during Jake’s races. It’s one of our favorite places in Colorado. Do you think Jake was tired of me taking pictures?? ; )

After breakfast, we drove around a little bit, then we hit the trail!

These views. I just love Colorado. So much. Also, I always forget how hard it is to breathe out there!

I climbed on top of some snow and one of my legs slipped down into it pretty far. I loved it.

We had a blast walking/running/working out together.

After our run, we sat on the tail gate, shared a beer, and enjoyed the view.

After our run, we met Scottie and Brandi for a drink. We were SO happy they were there to celebrate with us. Brandi is an AMAZING photographer, so she took all of our pictures, too. I cannot wait to share them with you! She has already edited a ton of them – isn’t that nuts??? She’s the best.

Then we headed to our house for the weekend! This place was crazy. It was 5 floors! I kept getting lost in it…

We loved it.

Check out this view from the kitchen! I could’ve stared at those mountains all day.

Here’s our bedroom and bathroom!

We had our own private hot tub, too, plus this view.

The view from the main deck. We had the BEST weather all weekend.

This is part of the back of the house, along one side. There was an adorable fire pit in this area, and this is where we chose to get married! It ended up being absolutely perfect. I’ll share pictures tomorrow!

Since everyone was getting in at different times on Friday, we thought ordering pizza would be the easiest dinner. We ordered from Fatty’s and had a feast.

We had a fox visitor!

Here are some more pictures off the deck. I never wanted to go inside.

I had a Rice Krispy treat after dinner. Mmm.

I couldn’t wait to marry this guy in front of our families! <3

That’s it for Thursday and Friday! We had a blast hanging out with our families and watching everyone get to know each other better. We had 20 people in the house with us and it was wonderful. I’m already missing Colorado like crazy. Get ready for wedding picture overload tomorrow (and probably for the next few weeks….).
Happy Tuesday, friends!
