I started off Thursday running 5 miles with this pretty girl! This is Brandi, the girl who took all of our wedding pictures! It was almost 75 when we started running at 5AM. Woof. It was SO muggy, but it felt good to knock out some miles.

After I ran with Brandi, I went home to have a snack because I was starving. I also decided to stop at the grocery store to get toilet paper and bacon – necessities! Then I set out for a couple more miles. I love that this trail is basically in my backyard.

It got even hotter out for the last 3 miles on my own. I finished up with 8 for the day. It was hard to get going again after I took a break.

My favorite time – breakfast! I had an egg and veggie scramble with bacon. I topped everything with nutritional yeast.

After breakfast, I packed up and headed to the library. I reserved one of these private rooms, so I spent about 4 hours in there yesterday. I’m pretty sensitive to sound and get distracted easily, so this room was perfect! I usually work in one of the desk areas to the left of these rooms, but it was nice to have a room all to myself.

Here’s my set-up! I realized I left my Mac charger sitting on our kitchen counter (rookie mistake), so I was nervous about my computer dying, but it lasted long enough for me to get some work done! I worked until it was at 20 percent, then I went home.

I brought my lunch with me, so after a little bit of work, I took a lunch break. I had my leftover fish taco from Maria’s the other night and some Siete grain-free tortilla chips. It was delicious!

After being at the library for 4 hours, I was tired of being there. Plus, I had gotten a ton of work finished. I packed up and headed home. I had a snack of carrots and hummus. Oh, and a plum! I love plums, but I forget about them. I got a bunch at the store the other day.

The princess made herself a bed on these pillows.

Jake went on a bike ride and I hopped into the tub for an Epsom salt soak. I sipped on some Nuun electrolytes while I soaked.

Dinner was leftover Sweet Potato Chicken poppers, brussels, and rice.

Aspen likes to sleep with something covering her head. When she isn’t ready for bed but we are, she will just sit with the blanket like a cape around her shoulders. It makes me laugh.

More computer stuff today – I might go on a bike ride or I will use today as rest day. I haven’t decided yet. Jake and I are running trail Saturday morning, so I’m looking forward to our trail date. My family is doing an early Father’s Day dinner tonight. Jake can’t come because he has a dinner with the team he races with, but we are grilling out for all of our Dads Sunday night, so that will be fun! I’m hoping for a relaxing weekend. I start my marathon training Monday!
Happy weekend, friends!
