I wanted all the water after my workout run Monday morning. I got 8 miles in total. 3 mile warm-up, 6x (300m uphill at 10k pace, 300m downhill at marathon pace, 60 second rest), 2 mile cool-down. It was a good workout! My hamstring shot at me the other day, ugh, but I didn’t have any issues yesterday. I’m going to be diligent about stretching and taking Epsom baths. That seems to help!

More smoothies for breakfast this week!

I attempted to do a little computer work yesterday morning, but I was having a lot of trouble concentrating. I don’t have days like that very often, thank goodness. I made this pile of deliciousness to go with some fish for lunch. Squash, green beans, and broccoli. Topped with black pepper, garlic, curry powder, and a little butter. YUM.

Lunch was SO good. A piece of ciabatta bread with hummus and Sriracha, veggies, and cod.

A little more attempted computer work and a snack break. I’m trying to finish up that beet hummus I made.

Around 3, I gave up on working. I did laundry and had another snack…I’m still worried about Aspen, so I’m taking her back to the vet today. She’s just acting off. Hopefully they can figure something out.

Jake and I ran some errands when he got home from work, then it was time for homemade pizzas and salad for dinner. I put a jalapeño on these and holy cow….We were miserable. I even took all the pieces off of my pizza and it was too hot. I chugged my 48 ounce Nalgene at dinner because of it. We love spicy, but that was TOO spicy.

For the first time in my life, I regretted my love of Sriracha (and jalapeños).

When we could finally breathe again, we had some dark chocolate covered pretzels. These things are delicious. And so addicting.

We relaxed on the couch and watched Gilmore Girls – we were so worn out, we crawled into bed at 8:20 and I know I was OUT by 8:30. It usually takes me awhile to fall asleep, but not last night. I woke up feeling SO much better!

A friend shared this on Instagram and it made me laugh. I had no idea! It makes total sense…I’m not sure if it’s true or not, but I’m going with it!

I went to the Y this morning, now it’s time for computer work (I need to be a million times more productive than I was yesterday). I’ll take Aspen to the vet this afternoon, then tonight, I’m doing a fundraiser with some girlfriends – we are bowling! I’m excited. The link is HERE if you want bowl for Crosslines tonight! If you go, come say hi! : )
Happy Tuesday!
You should have totally just had the chocolate pretzels with ice cream after the pizza to help cool down your mouth. 😉
I know I am a huge fan of sauces but I for some reason have never gotten into sriracha … not give me some ketchup, BBQ, ranch, and/or honey mustard and I am probably going to use some! What is the strangest thing you have ever put condiments on?
Hi, Lindsay!
Haha! One time in 6th grade, someone dared me to dip my Oreo in Ranch. I, of course, did it. It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t terrible! What’s the weirdest thing you’ve put a condiment on??
Have a great day!!
So this might sounds strange but I really like to dip my pretzels and chips (sometimes) in ranch dressing … might be strange but I enjoy the flavor combo.
I also might have to say my weirdest fav food combo would be a bagel with cream cheese, jelly, and peanut butter. I don’t eat it often BUT it’s a nice treat after a long run or something.
