Try these healthy pancakes + not feeling it + GIVEAWAY TIME!!!

My sister got a couple of pictures back from her wedding a few weekends ago. She shared these two with me. Who knows what Jake said to me in the second one, but this is a usual occurrence for us.

I didn’t want a smoothie for breakfast yesterday, so I made pancakes! I love these pancakes because you literally use two ingredients. I added blueberries and cinnamon, but they’re super good without those things. You just take two eggs and a banana and mix them together. That’s it! Then cook the batter over medium heat, just like you would a normal pancake. Super simple and SO good.

It made three big pancakes, all of which I inhaled. I topped mine with some maple syrup.

I did a little computer work yesterday morning, then I made myself go workout. I was 100% not feeling it yesterday, but sometimes I just need to get started and I’ll feel better. I drank some BCAAs and had a snack on my way to the Y. I told myself I needed to do at least 20 minutes of something, just to get my legs moving. I have a 15 mile run Saturday, so I want to keep my legs loose.

I got on the elliptical and at 15 minutes, I decided I’d stop at 20. I was definitely lacking motivation and wanted to get back home to the girls and my work. After I worked out, I stopped by the store. I love this place.

I made a smoothie for lunch and got back on my computer.

I was fading fast, so I stole some of Jake’s cold brew and chugged it.

Still no news from the vet about Aspen. I’m praying they call us today. I hate not knowing what’s going on with her. She thinks she’s a lap dog. I sat down on the floor to cuddle her and she crawled right up onto my lap. She’s always been skinny, but she isn’t eating very much right now and she has lost even more weight. Thank you to everyone for checking on her – we sure do love you guys! I’ll let you know what we find out as soon as we hear back from the vet.

This one needed some love, too. But all I got to cuddle with was her tush.

You can see her tongue sticking out…HA!

Jake loves when I take pictures when he’s doing something on his computer. ; )

Dinner last night was chicken salad for Jake and a tortilla with meatless sausage and black beans for me. We both also had squash and cauliflower on the side. I’m at almost a month of following a pescatarian diet. I haven’t had any cravings for meat, so I’m sticking with it. I feel really good and don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything!

We relaxed at home most of the evening. Jake’s parents stopped by to love on Aspen, and then we went to bed pretty early. Jake and I were up to run this morning. He had 8 miles and I had 4, so he went out and knocked out 4 on his own, then we finished up together. Morning coffee makes me so happy.

Aspen didn’t eat much of her breakfast, so I cooked a sweet potato for her. She doesn’t like the skin, but she will eat the rest. She had almost half of one this morning!

Okay, GIVEAWAY time!!!!! I’ve teamed up with Groove Life to tell you about their silicone rings AND to let one lucky person pick one out for FR
EE! I’ll tell you about Groove Life first, then I’ll explain the giveaway. Groove Life sent me one of their rings and I’ve been wearing it constantly for a little over two weeks. I am impressed! I’m picky about rings. I don’t wear a ton of jewelry and I really don’t like to feel like I’m wearing jewelry. The first time I put on my Groove Life ring, I couldn’t believe how comfortable it was. I couldn’t feel it at all! My finger didn’t feel restricted, either, which is something that has bothered me with other silicone rings. So already, that’s a win for me. I also love the case the ring came in. It’s durable and keeps your ring safe and secure.

I’ve worn this ring every day for over two weeks and absolutely love how it fits. Plus, it’s adorable. I love the coral color.

Groove Life offers a TON of different options, so there’s a ring for everyone.

Following both on instagram! I just got married on 6/23 and I never wear rings so it’s been quite the change to having to wear two rings every day. I also get nervous whenever I’m working out to wear my rings so this would be a perfect solution!

    I have two favorite dates:
For my husband Tony’s birthday one year, I made an Indiana Jones-themed choose-you-own adventure book. We went to several restaurants for appetizers, entrees, and dessert–all determined by his choices in the book.
Then for my birthday, Tony wrote a murder mystery and we had friends over to have dinner and to play the mystery.

Ooo, my favorite date was my first date with my now fiance. We went mountain biking (my first time biking on singletrack) and I promptly slammed into a tree. 😉 That crash left a scar on my leg for nearly 2 years and we still joke about it today. I’d love a silicone ring and was actually looking at the Groove rings before I saw this post!

When I was in college, I invited my future husband to my sorority formal. We had been dating for a short time already.. He told me that he couldn’t afford a corsage, so I told him that was fine and I would not buy him a boutonniere. It didn’t bother me until I noticed how much money he was spending on clothes and other incidentalds. I should have seen that as a red flag but married him anywy. I thought of that incident many times later on when I realized how self absorbed he was.

The best date I have gone on was the one when my (now husband) proposed! It was perfect and to top it off he had our family nearby watching it and then threw a surprise engagement party celebrating us afterwards :). I’ve been wanting to try silicon rings but I’ve always been nervous that they wouldn’t fit right. Glad to hear such positive reviews for this one!

Love these rings! Might be prefect since my wedding ring is getting a little snug already thanks to summer & pregnancy! Followed both on insta!
