Productivity + Nuun love + memories!

Tuesday night was a rough one. Aspen didn’t sleep much, so neither did Jake or I. He was supposed to be up at 3:45 to get a 10-miler in, but we both turned off our alarms and got some much needed sleep. When I got out of bed a little before 7, I made breakfast – toast, veggies, and eggs. Mmm.

I did a little computer work, then headed out for a run. I was excited to try my new Body Glide. It goes on super easy and doesn’t feel lotion-ey. I made that word up, but that’s what I don’t like about the chafing creams. That lotion feeling on my clothes drives me crazy. I’ve been chafing really bad under my bra band, so I was hoping this would help.

This is a down week for me, so I’m enjoying some shorter runs. Yesterday, I needed 4-6 miles, so I ran 4 and walked 1. I felt good the whole time, but I can tell my body is tired. I didn’t want to push it.

The Body Glide is amazing. BUT, I forgot to put KT Tape on the spot where my heart rate monitor rubs. I had to stick my shirt underneath it to keep it from rubbing. It worked! I’ll try a couple of other things – maybe a ton of Body Glide in that spot would help. I don’t know. We will see.

I wore my Nuun racing hat on my run yesterday. It matched the beautiful sky.

I got home from my run, changed out of my sweaty clothes, and got in some good cuddles with my babes. Still no news on Aspen.

Lunch was another tuna wrap. I have been getting La Tortilla Factory tortillas and they’re delicious.

I love this song. It has a great beat. Check it out!

I finished a bunch of things from my To-Do list yesterday, so I took a break to tackle a pile of old stuff in our garage. I found some of my old meal plans from Beachbody from probably 3 or 4 years ago! I loved the Max30 workouts…maybe I should use those again.

I also found money in an old wallet! I can guarantee you that I haven’t touched this wallet in at least 6 years. I found 2 bucks in it! I’m rich!

Aw. This was my very first dog. Her name was Missy and I had to earn her. I had a calendar in my bedroom and I had to get a gold star every day for a month. I don’t remember the stipulations for getting those stars, but I remember working hard for her. She was a great dog. She got hit by a car in front of our house when I was in high school. I was devastated. One of my teachers called home to ask if something was wrong because my friends were writing about me in their journals for class and I was acting down. (I went to a Catholic school and we had journals in our religion class.)

See that mark on my forehead? I was helping a friend climb up a tunnel slide at school and someone behind me pushed me because I was holding up the line. My head slammed into the top of the slide and I had to get stitches. I still have a tiny scar there.

Gah, I also found this!! I talk about how I got these signatures HERE, but I was obsessed with Relient K. I still love them! The lead singer wished me a happy birthday at one of their concerts and sang my favorite song. Life. Made. You can read the whole story at the link I posted above. <3 Oh, my favorite song is Getting Into You. Give it a listen.

I spent about an hour and a half in the garage going through stuff. When I finished with that, I came in and had a protein muffin with chocolate PB2. It was delicious.

This cracks me up. We had dinner plans with my family last night. My sister and I were in a group text with each of our parents. Separately. We were not communicating very well. In the text with my Mom and sister, we had decided to eat at Coyote’s, but in the text with my Dad and my sister, they wanted Galloway. Group texts, friends, always a good time. ; )

We went to Galloway, which Jake and I never complain about. I got The Salad, which is one of my favorites. It comes with chicken and ham, but I had them put that on the side.
Picture

I took the meat home and gave it to Aspen. She was in heaven.
Picture

Jake copied me and got the tuna sandwich, which is what I had gotten for dinner Tuesday night. Yes, we were at Galloway two nights in a row. That happens a lot…

Jake’s family stopped by our house after dinner and Aspey got some good cuddles in with her Aunt Chelsea. <3

I’m going to get started on work and then I’ll do a little circuit of some kind later. I’m going to do a couple of the graphics I shared with you yesterday. I’ll let you know how they go!
Happy Friday Eve, friends!

Sounds like a productive day. I totally struggle with dieting (following meal plans) because so many include salads all of the time and I honestly can’t having salad as the main part of my meal. Maybe as a side or something but I don’t feel satisfied at the end of a meal if all I had was a salad. But if I were to get a burger and a side salad or a chicken dish with a salad to start it would be fine. Weird I know. Lol. Any weird food quirks?
