I am loving this short hair! It feels so light. I got up yesterday and started on some computer work. I was planning to run later in the day on the treadmill, so I worked and then had breakfast. I was hoping these oats wouldn’t bother my stomach, but just to make sure, I ate 2 hours before I was going to run. No such luck. I had acid reflux about a mile into my run and then it lasted all day. I think it was the Greek yogurt in the oats or the PB2. Ugh. This is why I run so early in the day. I just can’t seem to have anything on my stomach other than a piece of toast or a bagel with butter and honey.
The coffee maker at Acacia Spa is crazy cool. I had to get help operating it…
Brandi sent me this text….hahaha! Good friends worry about these kinds of things. ; ) So far, my neck muscles feel okay!
First run with short hair! It felt SO good. I loved not having my hair touch my back/shoulders or leave bruises on my shoulder blades!
I got 6.5 at 8:26 on the treadmill. I wore my Altra Escalantes.
Remember how I told you I wanted new meal prep containers? How cool are these? I got them from HERE. This is going to be so nice. I can’t wait to use them.
Post run fuel was a huge salad with goat cheese, onion, and edamame, plus the last of my Mahi-mahi.
I knocked out some more computer work then hopped in the tub for an Epsom salt bath. I sipped on some kombucha while in there.
This is one of my favorite snacks and I had completely forgotten about it – cottage cheese and apple sauce! It’s SO good. If you like these things, try them together.
Jake and I helped with some things at Two Rivers last night for an event that we will be at this weekend. It’s called Singletrack Mind – check it out HERE and come join us! It really is a blast. There are mountain bike races, trail runs, live music, food vendors, beer…you name it! Well, since we were going to be working and I didn’t want us to stop and grab something fast on our way home, I made dinner to take with us. Jake had a wrap with hummus, spinach, onion, and ham. I had the same wrap with an egg and a veggie sausage patty instead of ham.
With some chips on the side! I knew we’d eat the whole bag, so I portioned it out.
It rained and stormed like crazy yesterday. There was running water on part of the trail, but with some sunshine today, it’ll dry up and be no problem!
Two Rivers is beautiful!
The rain FINALLY stopped and the sun came out – it’s going to be a great weekend!
Lu was ready for bed, but also wanted to play when we got home…
I’m off to run with Jyssica! Then it’s knocking out ALL the work before we head to Two Rivers. I’m leading a 3 mile trail run tonight, so if you’re in the area, come run with me! There will be beer and a movie afterwards, too! The next time we talk, it will be September. How crazy is that??
Any big Labor Day plans?? I’d love to hear!
Happy Weekend, friends!
