Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. Probably because I get coffee. Buuut also, the food is just the best.
It was SO chilly yesterday morning. I sipped on coffee and enjoyed the fire before I started my day. It was the best morning.
I even got some Lu cuddles.
Until she got sick of me and moved further down the couch.
I had another off day from running, so I headed to the Y to get some time in on the elliptical. It felt good to get my legs moving.
I’d much rather run, but sometimes other types of cardio are a nice break. The sunshine was wonderful yesterday.
This is one of my favorite dairy-free cheeses. If you’re dairy-free, check it out. It’s delicious. I’m not 100% dairy-free, but when I find a cheese I like, I use it a lot.
Lunch was chicken with that cheese melted on it and cauliflower and broccoli.
One of the best snacks – I love this flavor of Nut-Thins.
Lu has been super cuddly lately. She does this thing where she will get as close to me as possible, then push her head against mine. It’s the sweetest. She will just stand or sit with her head pushed against mine for a long time. She did this for probably 15 minutes yesterday while I was grading.
See! It cracks me up. I don’t know why she does this, but it’s adorable.
I needed a chocolate break yesterday.
At about 3:30, I realized I had finished all of my work for the day. I could either have a beer or clean the bathrooms. The beer won. Whenever I get frustrated with myself for not adding something to do my to-do list, I remember that this off-time won’t last forever. I WANT to work full-time again, so I’m going to enjoy this time while I have it. One day, I’m going to miss it. I’m so grateful that Jake encourages me to enjoy it, too.
This girl. She always wants to be looking outside.
More Lu cuddles until Jake got home from work.
We had leftover chili again for dinner last night. I think I could eat cornbread for every single meal.
The sunset was gorgeous last night.
