Jake and I knocked out an easy 5-miler Tuesday morning. It made me miss our early morning runs together! After my race, we will get back to running together more often.
Jake had gotten in a run and a mountain bike ride the day before, so he said his legs were pretty dead during our run. He laid like this on one of Lu’s beds in our garage for a long time, HA!
I tried to get a cute picture of Lu and me…this is what happened when I took the picture. She went smooch crazy.
After the run, it was time for breakfast. These proats don’t look all that appetizing, but they are so good. I added some green superfoods to them, so they have a very green tint…
Lu has totally stolen my blanket. She sleeps on it just about every day. I don’t even care because she is so cute.
I sent this to Jake yesterday. Truth! ; ) Being married is the best thing ever. It’s not always easy, but it sure is fun.
I had finished everything on my To-Do list by 1PM, so Lu and I got in some cuddles and a little Netflix watching.
Lunch was still super yummy.
I had my LAST dissertation meeting FINALLY. After my defense last month, I had a few optional edits to make. I made them the Monday after my defense and submitted everything to be looked over one last time. I wanted to submit my dissertation and be 100% finished with everything right away, but I had to wait a little bit because the head of my committee was out of town for conferences. I had a meeting scheduled to go over everything yesterday (and got cleared!), so I am ready to submit and be FINISHED!!! I have one phone call to make today to check on something, so depending on that, I should get everything submitted TODAY. Fingers crossed. It was so beautiful yesterday, so Lu and I took my meeting outside.
Leftovers are the best. For dinner, we had leftovers from Sunday night. Spaghetti squash, chicken sausage, mushrooms, marinara, and goat cheese, plus some brussels from Touch when I was there Monday night. We were out of bread, so I had a waffle.
This has got to be one of my favorite meals. It’s so easy to make and it stores well, so leftovers are a major plus.
I’m off to get this thing submitted!! (I hope). I am SO ready. Once it’s submitted, I get to focus on graduation! It’s still so crazy to me that this journey is almost over. I’m not as sad about it now, I’m definitely excited!
Happy Wednesday, friends!
