Well, that sucks + weekend plans!

I literally sat all day yesterday. My ankle hurts pretty bad, so I tried to stay off of it and keep it elevated. I’m pretty bummed about this sprain. I felt so good coming off of my marathon and gearing up for this 20 mile trail race. Now I’m just hoping I’ll still be able to run that race. I’ve got some time, it’s in December, so I’m keeping all my fingers and toes crossed.

I got this jacket at Walmart. It’s SO fuzzy and was super inexpensive. Win-win.
My ankle isn’t too swollen, so I’m hoping that’s a good sign. I can’t put much weight on it, so I’ve really been babying it. This was about an hour after I fell.
Lunch yesterday. I am tired of having this meal, haha, so Jake and I switched lunches for today. I can’t decide if I want his spaghetti squash casserole or a smoothie…
I think my ankle stayed about the same size all day, it didn’t seem to get any bigger.
Chocolate. Because pouting. 
This girl stayed by my side all day. I did get up to do an ab workout because I was bored and needed to feel like I was accomplishing something semi-productive. Lu got very crazy at that point and we played for a long time.
Texts with my husband. No sympathy!
I couldn’t have ice cream ; ) so I had almond butter instead.
I got up to make dinner when Jake got home and he basically yelled at me and told me to stay off my feet. Eye-roll. Look at this deliciousness he made! Parmesan crusted tilapia and veggies. Mmmm.
I slept pretty well and kept my foot elevated most of the night. It definitely still hurts and is about the same as yesterday. I might go in for an x-day today. We will see if they can get me in. I’m so mad at myself for not being more careful. I don’t even know how this happened. One minute I was running, the next I was on the ground. Grrr. It does no good to get down about it, though, so I’m trying to stay positive.

Jake’s on call this weekend (and I’m a gimp) so we won’t do much. I’m pretty excited about that! Someone get a run in for me, please!

    I am so so sorry to hear about your injury. I am sure that in a few days you’ll be back at it and you’ll have never known your twisted your ankle. Do you think that you could try to do something else while your ankle is out of commission? Maybe get back into the swimming pool?
