Birthday fun + change of plans.

I stole this from a friend on Facebook. It made me laugh SO hard!

Wednesday morning started with some elliptical time. My ankle and knee are feeling a lot better. I’m still nervous about racing this weekend. I haven’t decided if I’ll do the 20 or drop down to the 13, but for the sake of my future training, I’m leaning toward dropping down. I have my eye on another marathon in April, so I want to heal up and knock out my training for that race. Not giving my body the time it needs to heal and/or injuring myself isn’t going to help. Stupid ankle sprain. Ruining my plans. (I know the sprain was my own fault for being careless, but when I’m frustrated, I’m going to just blame my ankle.)

Breakfast. Mmmm.

We haven’t had time to decorate our tree and I want us to do it together, but I did finally get some lights up. I love sitting in the dark with only the tree lights on. Anyone else?

My Mom and sister came over for lunch yesterday. They also got to see my new treadmill! We had a relaxing afternoon just hanging out. I can’t wait for my niece to be here! My sister is due in March, so we are getting closer!

All the excitement from playing with her aunt and grandma wore Lu out.

Yesterday was this pretty girl’s birthday!! Happy, happy Birthday, Kayla!!! I talked her into getting this margarita at her birthday dinner. It was 100% bigger than her head!

I had a salad with chicken and shrimp. It was yummy!

We came home to this. Lu put all the laundry away! ; )

Jake and I ran this morning and my pain was MUCH better, but still there. If I run this weekend, I’ll either do the 13 or the 5k. I’m not going to risk injuring myself. I’m bummed, but I’m trying to be smart. We will see how things go!
