Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. I have SO much to be thankful for. I love celebrating Jesus’ birthday with my favorite people.
Our Christmas celebrations started with some Elf watching on Sunday evening. “Bye, Buddy! Hope you find your Dad!”
Christmas Eve morning, we had more of this deliciousness.
Lu waited for Santa all day.
We did most of our Christmas with my family on Christmas Eve. I made two crockpots of sweet potato chili for us to eat. One had elk and was spicy and the other had beef and was sweet.
I got these cups for us two Christmases ago. We took them with us to my parents’ to have Old Fashioneds in.
I LOVE cornbread. And these muffins that my Mom made were incredible. We had sushi and crackers with cheese while opening stockings.
Most of my presents revolved around running, caffeine, and pineapples. How cute is this journal? I’ll share more pictures as the week goes on!
We finished stockings (one of my favorite traditions), had dinner, then started on presents.
I told you my Mom goes overboard…we love sales in my family, so when we find a good one, things get a little crazy.
I am SO pumped about these!!! (I’m wearing them as I type this…)
This has been my job forever – I love folding tissue paper, saving wrapping stuff, and collecting all the trash. Can you see my Type A personality shining through?
Our third Christmas together.
After Christmas with my family, we stopped by Jake’s parents’ to see everyone. Jake’s Momma made me an Old Fashioned.
Christmas morning coffee and cuddles at home!
Christmas morning, we headed to Jake’s Grandma’s house for Christmas breakfast with his family. Rosa Lee makes some of the best breakfast EVER.
After breakfast, we headed home, hopped on our bikes, and rode to Jake’s Dad’s house for lunch. The food was amazing.
I went back for seconds…
Jake’s Dad and step-mom read the Christmas story from the Bible. We loved it.
It was a beautiful day for a bike ride!
After lunch, we rode back home, gathered up presents, and headed to Jake’s parents’ house to do Christmas with his family. Look what Chelsea and I got!
After Christmas with Jake’s family, we headed back to my parents’ to finish up our Christmas and have dinner. My Mom’s shirt cracked me up. My sister and brother-in-law headed out of town Christmas afternoon, so we got to spend time with them on Christmas Eve.
Dinner was amazing.
I got my second bloody nose of the day while at my parents’. The dry winter air always gets me.
Now to put all of this away…
Christmas is always busy for us, but we LOVE getting to see all of our family. I can’t believe that next year I will have a niece to spoil!
Happy Wednesday, friends!
