Can’t wait to read this + first day + Jyssica’s Birthday!

I read about this book on another blog I read. I so was intrigued by the title that I just had to order one for myself. I am keeping my fingers crossed for some snow this week so I can have the perfect excuse to stay in and cuddle up with my books.
I didn’t sleep again Wednesday night, so my run got pushed back until after I taught yesterday. I slept from about 5 until 7, then got up and made us breakfast before Jake left for work. I was a straight up zombie all day yesterday. All. Day.
I taught one of my college courses for the first time yesterday. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed being in the college classroom. I loved getting to talk with all of the students and share teaching stories. I think it’s going to be a wonderful semester!

I came home to Lu NOT doing the laundry. Maybe one day she learn…
Also, she pulls this blanket off the top of this recliner to make herself beds. Just about every day. Dawn, my birth mom, made this blanket for me for Christmas this year. I love it!!

I needed to run, but it was literally the last thing I wanted to do. I just wanted to lay on the couch. I was so worn out, buuuut, I know if I slept yesterday during the day, it would’ve made it even harder last night. So, I ate lunch, and then sipped some coffee while watching an episode of “I’m Sorry” a new show I’m watching on Netflix. It’s hilarious.
I just got these. I can’t wait to try them!
Guys, it was the last thing I wanted to do, but at 1:50, I did my band exercises and then forced myself out the door to run.
I had 45 minutes of easy miles. Lu joined me for about half of that. The whole run was a struggle, but I was glad I got it in. You know what we never regret? Doing a run. Don’t get me wrong, I love running, but I don’t love it every day. Yesterday was one of those days. We can’t wait around to do things; we can’t wait until it’s the ‘right time’. If you have a goal, go get after it! You’re stronger than you think you are.
I lifted after I ran, THEN I parked my butt on the couch. Lu was pretty worn out from her exercises.
I lounged on the couch until it was time to meet some girlfriends to celebrate Jyssica! We all went to dinner and then to a hot yoga class at the studio where Jyss teaches. It was a blast, but I could definitely tell it had been over 6 months since I had been to a yoga class…whoops!
Here’s our post-yoga sweaty picture. Happy birthday (yesterday), Jyss!!
Jake and I have date night tonight, so we are trying something new. We got gift cards to try Theta Float Spa (thank you, Matt)! We are excited to try it out. I don’t know much about it, so I will wait until Monday to fill you in. It’s supposed to help with recovery, stress, insomnia (sweet!), and a bunch of other things. I’ll share all about it on Instagram (today) and here (Monday). I picked up a half day of subbing this afternoon, so I’m going to relax, sub, then relax some more. I slept AMAZING last night. A friend, Kim, told me to try taking Magnesium right before bed. I’m hoping that solved my problems – fingers crossed!
Happy Friday, friends!
