All the coffee + BIKES + weekend plans!

I could not get warm after my run yesterday. Lu and I pulled up our chairs super close to the fire and cuddled with a few blankets.
I was also trying to ice my ankle while getting warm…it didn’t work all that great.
I did not want to leave the house after my run. I hadn’t slept and it was SO cold outside. But, I taught from 9-12 yesterday, so I chugged coffee and bundled up. This turtleneck sweatshirt is one of the best things I’ve ever bought. It’s so cozy and it has pockets! It’s so warm that I didn’t even need a jacket over it. I got it from GapFit last year, but I can’t find it anymore.
This massive tumbler was full of coffee. I drank every last drop.
This man. He’s the best. He reads my blog, which, honestly, is just random daily things that he already knows about.
I can’t wait to input a workout into my treadmill! Stay tuned to see how it goes. He knows more about my treadmill than I do…
This lunch was delicious. Leftover brussels, a cod taco, pickles, and some roast beef.
I tried SO hard not to nap yesterday, but it just wasn’t going to happen. I don’t think I ever caught up from my insomnia spell from last week. I was supposed to lift yesterday, but I just didn’t have it in me. So, I crawled into bed and napped for about an hour. I loved the glow from the candle in our room.
It felt so good just to lay down and close my eyes. Remember my terrible breakout a few days ago? It’s starting to go away!
Forced cuddles are the best cuddles.
These are the BOMB. I love salt and vinegar chips, so I thought I’d love these, but I just didn’t realize how much I would love them. If you like salt and vinegar anything, try these!
I got this beanie from Walmart for $2. It’s super comfy and I even wear it on runs sometimes.
Guys, last night was a good night. I got to pick up my new bike! Look at this beauty. Mountain biking is not really my thing, BUT, I am SO excited to get some miles in on the road/gravel with this. Also, how sweet is this hat? It fits like it was made for my head. HUGE thanks to Josh (and all the guys) for helping us out at Sunshine Bike Shop. If you have any biking needs, check them out! They are super friendly and really know their stuff! (Which is REALLY good for me since I don’t know anything…)
Jake picked up his bike, too! It was a big night for us!
Now we have something else we can match with! Jake is STOKED. Remember how much he loves to match? So very much. ; )
Dinner was spaghetti squash casserole (I shared the recipe HERE yesterday and on my Instagram).
Chocolate for dessert. I was so tired, but forced myself to stay up until after 9. I was determined to get good sleep last night – I did! Thank goodness. I took magnesium, melatonin, valerian root, and drank tart cherry juice and sleepy time tea. All. Of. The. Things. I don’t know which thing is working or if it’s a combination of all of it, but it’s going to be my new bed time routine for awhile.
Trail Sisters Springfield is finally getting some trail time in on Saturday! We’d love to have you join us! All levels are welcome. Check out Instagram and FB page for details!
Some of my family from out of town will be here this weekend, so I can’t wait to see them! I’m throwing my sister a baby shower on Saturday, so that will be a blast. I can’t believe my niece will be here in less than two months!! I am taking my bike out for a spin on Sunday, so that’ll be super fun, too. I hope everyone has the best weekend!!
Happy Friday, friends!
