Guys, I am an AUNT!!!! Meet my perfect angel niece – Eleanor Lynn. Look at those cheeks?! I know I might be a bit biased, but she is the most beautiful baby I have ever seen. My family had such a wonderful weekend welcoming this little gal into the world. And yes, I am OBSESSED.
Let’s rewind to Friday (Eleanor was born Saturday morning). I headed out for a run Friday afternoon. I have been battling some knee pain, so I’m focusing on keeping things easy and recovering like I’m supposed to. My run on Friday felt great! It was kind of a gloomy day, so I wore my brightest shoes to bring some color to my day.
Remember, you can use the code CHELSEA15 to get 15% off any Go Girl race! I am running the half in Springfield in April!
Such a charmer. Also, if you want one of my senior photos, let me know. They’re in high demand. ; )
Stretching/abs/foam rolling/anything on the floor is impossible with Rhea.
Epsom baths are so relaxing. Said no one in our house.
Friday night, we had a dinner date with my friend Alex and her boyfriend. We went to Cesar’s. They have the BEST sangria. Ever.
I branched out and got the fish tacos. Holy yum. They were incredible.
I woke up to a text from my Mom Saturday morning saying that my sister was getting close to delivering, so I ate breakfast super fast and rushed to the hospital.
I cried on my drive to the hospital because I was so proud of my sister and so excited to meet my niece!!
My Mom asked my Dad and I to take a selfie outside the door to show my sister. We got to listen to everything and we heard Eleanor cry for the first time!! Jake had gotten called into work early Saturday (he was on call all week/weekend), but he made it to the hospital to see Eleanor right after she was born. It was such an amazing day!!! My sister and brother-in-law had forgotten a heavy blanket for Eleanor when they took her home, so I grabbed one for them from their house. We included it in the picture os my sister would know we had it.
Look at this perfect little chunk! 8 lbs, 4 oz, 21 in. I. Love. Her. And I could not be more proud of my sister. She was an absolute rockstar.
After Eleanor was born, we gave my sister and her hubby some time with their new baby. My parents and I went to grab breakfast – Jake got called back into work. I took my parents to Cherry Picker, a super cute bar and bites place here in town. I had the Greek bowl (I forgot I wasn’t eating dairy – HA!). It was delicious.
My knee was a little sore, but I just had some easy miles, so I wanted to see how it would do. It was sore the first two miles, but after that, it loosened it up and felt pretty good!
