Yesterday was such a fun day! I loved getting to spoil Lu (more than usual). Before we headed out for some birthday fun, I had breakfast.
We left sister at home and hit up the bank. The bank wasn’t necessarily part of the celebrations, but Lu got a treat while we were there, so I think she was okay with us stopping.
Then we headed to Fetch. They made Lu feel so special and she had a blast looking at all the treats and toys in the store. This might be my new favorite picture of Lu – she was VERY excited about the cookies. VERY.
My friend, Cassie, met us at Fetch, too. Lu was SO happy.
Lu wasn’t super pleased with a few of the purchases I made…
The bandana was okay, but she was not amused by the party hat.
Lu needed a nap after all the morning excitement, so I headed out for a run. It was a little toasty out.
I have leg jiggle and cellulite, too! It’s normal. I’m still trying to lose some of my marathon training weight gain…it’s harder than I’d like it to be, but I love food and won’t deprive myself. It’ll come off eventually.
After my run, I had leftovers for lunch. This one pan meal has been SO delicious this week. Recipe HERE.
I’ve been wanting a wreath for our front door, but didn’t want to spend a ton of money on one. I found this stick wreath (I’m sure there’s a name for it, but I have no clue) in with some of our Christmas things, so I had an idea. I got into the leftover fake flowers from our wedding and did a little crafting. I don’t love it, but it’s better than nothing. It’s a little big for the door, but it’ll work for now. Plus, it was FREE.
We put these down on the corners of our rugs and they’re amazing. I got them on Amazon – HERE – and will definitely remember them. You need a whole box per rug – I learned the hard way. They’re super easy to apply and are supposed to be reusable.
Birthday cookies for Lu and Rhea to share!
Jake got to come home at a normal time yesterday!! We were all pretty excited. He’s been working like crazy with all the storms we have had this week. He’s pretty worn out. Lu was still hating her hat.
Thank you, Fetch!! Lu loved her time with you!
Our friends, Kallie and Coty, came over for dinner last night. They wanted to see our new place and help celebrate Lu’s birthday. We had chicken fajitas – Kallie is a vegetarian, so I kept everything separate.
Our friend, Scott, stopped by to borrow something and he brought his new puppy with him! I am obsessed. Her name is Mable and she is SO snuggly. Scott and his fiancè, Caitlin, just got her. Thanks for letting me snuggle your pup, friends!
Dinner was delicious.
We played on the rope swing in our backyard, then came inside to just hang out. Lulu loves Coty, so she stayed by his side most of the night.
Rhea was pretty worn out.
So glad these two came over and helped us celebrate Lulu – they made her day!
Pictures with dogs are difficult…
I tutor today, then have some errands to run. It’s our anniversary on Sunday – I can’t believe it’s been a YEAR! Wow. Our wedding posts are HERE and HERE – I’ll have something fun on the blog Monday for you! We still haven’t decided what to do about our honeymoon (we said we’d take one for our one year). Things have been so crazy with moving and job hunting…we WILL take one, we just aren’t sure when! <3
Happy Friday, friends!
