Gulf Shores Day 2!

We slept in until 8:30ish Wednesday morning. When we got up, Jake made coffee and I made breakfast. We had oats again with collagen, peanut butter, and honey. I’m glad I brought some food with us. I think we are going out for breakfast this morning.
Astrid the Astro is so great. We can’t bring our bikes up into our Airbnb – we are staying in a penthouse on the 9th floor of a condominium, so we just store them in the van when we aren’t using them. It’s pretty great!
I saw this and had to get one. It’s not terrible, but it’s also not my favorite. I don’t think I’d get it again, but I’m glad I tried it. It’s definitely refreshing! I stuck with hard waters – they’re my favorite.
We got a little umbrella at the store for $13 and it was the best purchase! Jake made us the perfect little set-up.
The beach and ocean are so beautiful and clean. We were a little worried after all of the storms they had down here, but everything is gorgeous. There are a lot of families with young kiddos here this week, too. There was some huge softball tournament, so we have gotten to talk to a bunch of families about that. Overall, we have really enjoyed being here in July. It’s not too hot if you’re able to spend most of your time at the beach. We definitely spend a lot of time in the water. We played frisbee for a long time in the waves yesterday. That was a blast.
I don’t want to leave.
Lunch on Wednesday was just random stuff we had brought with us from home. We wanted to soak up as much beach time as we could, so we came up to the room, had tuna and crackers, then went back down to the beach until dinner time. I mixed these two packets together and it was wonderful.
We took an Uber to Orange Beach, which was just about 10 minutes from Gulf Shores. We went to dinner at Cobalt, which was incredible. If you come to the area, definitely go to Cobalt.
We sat at the outside bar and had the best time. We made friends with some retired gentlemen and they gave us the low-down on some good restaurants. We are going to try one tonight, so I’ll keep you updated!
Jake and I shared the tuna avocado stack appetizer and it was incredible. I could’ve eaten 7 of these. No joke. We also had side salads, but I forgot to take a picture.
One of the dinner specials was red fish with risotto and roasted cauliflower. We also shared that and it was perfect. So tasty and sharing it was the perfect amount. When we try new places, we like to order an appetizer to share and a meal to share. That way, we aren’t stuffed when we leave, but we still get to try a variety of things from the menu.
After dinner, we went to Flora-Bama. It was SO fun! They had live music and both of the bands we heard were amazing. We had such a fun day!
We are off to explore a little on our bikes – it’s our last day here, so we are soaking it all in.
Happy Friday Eve, friends!

The place where you had your vacation looks like a paradise. it was just right that you spent and used every second you have for the vacation. You didn’t waste any precious moment and made sure that you are making great memories there which is a good thing. If I am given a chance to have a vacation, I will surely do the same thing and hope that my friends would be there to make memories with me, of course! Overall, I enjoyed reading your blog!
