Yesterday was a productive day, which I loved. I’m not sure when I start my new job – I have a meeting with HR today, so hopefully I find out, but I assume it’ll be next week after the holiday (Monday is Labor Day). I am trying to get a bunch of things finished since I won’t be at home every day now. As much as I enjoyed my time at home, I am SO ready to be back in a school. I’ve missed it!
I walked out to Lu just sitting on the couch like this. It made me laugh.
Sometimes you need to use the big coffee cup…
I picked up poo and mowed yesterday morning. Rhea modeled for me while I was mowing. I don’t know how, but her white coat never gets dirty. It’s crazy.
After mowing, I had a quick lunch and started on some of the on-boarding for my new job.
I did my challenges (plank, pushups, sit-ups) and my foot/ankle therapies. All of that takes about 30-45 minutes. I am still having ZERO pain/issues with my foot/ankle, so I’m going to keep doing what I’m doing!
I headed out for a 20-mile ride in the afternoon. I wore my new SwiftWick socks. They’re so comfortable.
These are delicious.
After my ride, it was time for more on-boarding. Everything is under my maiden name, since it was Dorman when I used to work for the district. I’ll get it changed to Bradley today.
One of the best snacks.
I love these cookies and was so excited to get them. Huge regret. This frosting was like a strawberry lemonade and not very good…I should’ve stuck with the original frosting.
Jake’s parents came over for dinner last night and Jake grilled steak. These were amazing.
We had some bacon-wrapped jalapeños for an appetizer. They were phenomenal. These were stuffed with sausage and cheese. Yum.
I made mushrooms, salad, and Parmesan broccoli and cauliflower to go with the steaks.
I gave it my best effort…I was so full.
Jake’s parents brought their pup, Nala, over to play with our girls. Rhea would not leave her side.
Love these people (and pups)!
Early morning miles with these babes in 58° weather. It was glorious.
I’m off for some meetings for my new job! I’m excited to get things started!
Happy Friday Eve, friends!
Omg … those frosted sugar cookies are the absolute best BUT I would have to say that flavored frosting would be a deal breaker for me. I am a class cheap sugar cookie girl all the way! 🙂
